Fishermans Friend is by the versatile stallion, Fabriano, who is the sire of 15 licensed sons and 120 St Pr Mares in Germany and is reknown as a producer of both FEI showjumpers as well as dressage horses. His dam, Penny Lane, is reknown for producing wonderful rideability, and is by the Grand Prix Champion Pik Bube I.
Fish completed his stallion Performance Test in Adelheidsdorf with an index of 112.64 for jumping as well as 127.11 for dressage, showing his amazing versatility. His FN Breeding Value has now increased through the successes of his progeny, to 118 for jumping and 130 for dressage having now produced successful FEI horses in both dressage and jumping. Fish also sired the top priced showjumper at the Hanoverian November Auction in Germany, as well as the highest scoring jumper in the Hanoverian Mare Performance Test this year. He nicks very well with TB mares, and this combination is producing exciting youngsters for the future of eventing in Australia. Together with his wonderful rideability, Fish’s sensational movement and jumping prowess is being met with much excitement from both eventing breeders and riders.
