The “Australian International Three Day Event” is the most important equestrian event held anywhere in the Southern Hemisphere.
Formerly known as the Adelaide International Horse Trials, the event covers three disciplines over three days. dressage, cross country and show jumping .. attracting riders and visitors from all over Australia, New Zealand and Europe. The event we very proudly choose to hold in Adelaide is one of only SIX Olympic standard events held anywhere in the world.
For the past ten years the stunning Adelaide parklands have been home to the event, making it unique in the world as it enjoys a prime position in the middle of an incredibly accessible, green and vibrant cosmopolitan city.
This year is particularly exciting, as we are conductiong the Equestrian Australia National YoungRider Championship in the CCI** Star Class and the EA Australian Eventingh Championship in the CCI**** Class
In 2010, the organising Committee has a commitment to grow the event to even greater heights by including two major innovations.
The first, our extensive television coverage both nationally and internationally.
The Olympic host broadcaster, the Seven Network Australia alongside Fox Sports have made a commitment to expose this year’s major Australian Olympic Selection Event to a “free to air” and “pay television” audience of five million viewers around the country, via our one hour edited highlights package of the event.
We are also have “pay television” on board toshowcase the event in the United Kingdom, New Zealand, South East Asia, Europe and North America... a potential further audience of more than 30 million viewers world wide.
The second, our commitment to broaden the appeal of the event to the general public by extending our range of attractions beyond the magnificent horse competition with a number of initiatives that highlight the products, attractions and opportunities of Adelaide and the State of South Australia.
The Market Place incorporating the food and wine tasting experience – the Grape and Gourmet Gallop , the Ponies in the Park Marquee and a much expanded trade village will complement the exciting action and we have a Masterclass with Sandy Phillips head of UK Dressage selectors, International dressage competitor and Judge on dressage day the 12th November.
The Big Screen TV's will again be showing all the action around the course as it happens and of course there will be fab hospitality to be had in the Adelaide Equity Partners VIP Marquee.
All in all, we’re determined to provide a great day out for families, lovers of the parklands and horse enthusiasts that highlight the very best competitors from around Australia and New Zealand
