CLERK OF THE COURSE:
The Coffs Harbour Motorcycle Club hereafter called the PROMOTER will conduct Coffs Harbour Stadium MX for Nippers, Juniors, Seniors and Senior Quads with a NATIONAL competition licence at the Coffs Harbour Showground, on Saturday 11th January 2014.
2.1. The above-mentioned meeting has been authorised by Motorcycling NSW Limited (MNSW) who has issued the Motorcycling Australia Permit Number 1/13/41094and is open to holders of current Motorcycling Australia National Competition Licences.
2.2. The meeting will be held in accordance with the current General Competition Rules (GCR’s), these Supplementary Regulations, the By-Laws of MNSW and any Final Instructions.
BY ENTERING THIS MEETING ALL PARTIES AGREE TO COMPLY WITH THESE RULES, REGULATIONS, BY-LAWS AND INSTRUCTIONS.
2.3. Electronic Timing supplier by Sunstate Timing Services will be used for this meeting, this incurs a hire fee of $20 per bike. As security for return of the transponder, licences will be collected at sign on and returned at the conclusion of the event on return of the transponder.
See section 24.2 for full details of the obligations for the return of the transponder and replacement cost
2.4. Age Requirements:
1. Junior Rider will be determined by the age of the rider as at the 1st January 2014.
2. U19’s riders will be determined by the age of the rider as at 1st January 2014.
3. Senior Riders will be determined by the age of the rider at the commencement of the meeting
ie: 11th January 2014
2.5. Endorsed Licence and Log Book: Each Junior rider is to present their licence (fully endorsed as per regulations) and log book at sign on. Log Books not collected at the conclusion of the meeting will be the responsibility of the rider to arrange return at their own expense.
BY ENTERING THIS MEETING ALL PARTIES AGREE TO COMPLY WITH THESE RULES, REGULATIONS, BY-LAWS AND INSTRUCTIONS.
3.1 Early bird entries open forthwith and close midnight on 31st December 2013 via www.nominate.com.au
3.2 In the case of postponement or abandonment of the meeting, 50% of the entry fee may be retained by the Promoter, if such retention is approved by MNSW.
3.4 Payment is by Visa card or MasterCard only and will incur a 3.3% administration fee
3.5 To be accepted, entries MUST be completed in full and be accompanied by the correct fees. The online
entries will receive information via email.
3.6 Only a maximum of 24 entries or 12 for Quads (in accordance with track licence approvals) will be accepted per class, with no heats available.
3.7 NOTE: LATE ENTRIES MAY BE ACCEPTED OR REJECTED AT THE DISCRETION OF THE RACE SECRETARY, AFTER CONSULTATION WITH THE RACE COMMITTEE OR CLUB EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE, AND THE RETURN OF ENTRY FEES FOR ANY RIDER WITHDRAWING FROM THE MEETING IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE PROMOTER.
4.1 National Capital Benefits Scheme provides basic cover for death and permanent disability.
4.2 Personal Accident and Ambulance Insurance is the responsibility of the individual.
4.3 IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT COMPETITORS GIVE DUE CONSIDERATION TO TAKING OUT SUCH INSURANCE COVER.

6.4 REFUND POLICY
Refunds will only be given to those who notify the appropriate Race Secretary, by means of email or SMS, (refer
below Point 24 for details) no later than Wednesday 8th January 2014, LESS a $25 administration cost, unless
a medical certificate is supplied.
7. ENTRY PASSES:
Each entrant will receive a pass for the rider(not per bike) and mechanic only. Two extra passes can be purchased for $10 each, but only available at time of entering on line at www.nominate.com.au
Passes will be given at the entry to the venue.

Please note a 250cc2st can only be ridden in one class unless the rider has 2 separate bikes, which means they can then ride 1 bike in the Lites class and 1 bike in the Opens class.

Shoot Out-Time permitting (Riders for this event will be selected on the night by the scoring committee i.e fastest 12 lap times from any senior race during round 1 of racing. Riders will be notified at the end of Round 1 of racing, with the shoot out run after round 2 of racing, or time permitted.)
9. AWARDS AND PRIZEMONEY:

If less than the minimum number of riders (refer Rule 10.1) in any one of the senior classes, then the prize money will be reduced at the following rate

*less than 8 riders to 50% of the total
*less than 6 riders 75% of the total
*less than 4 riders 50% of the total
Shoot Out race prize is an undisclosed amount.
10. ENTRIES TO CONSTITUTE A CLASS:
10.1 To constitute a Class, the number of contestants entered and competing in each Class shall be a minimum of 8 riders in the Quads, 12 riders in all other classes with exception to the Junior Girls or Ladies All Powers where the minimum number shall be 6, with a maximum of 24 riders or 12 in the Quads. Should there be insufficient entries in any Class of Competition, the decision to run or cancel the Class, or to combine classes and re-distribute any awards and/or prize money, will be at the discretion of the Promoter, subject to MNSW approval.
11. RACE FORMAT:
11.1 Practice for all classes will be 5minutes
Racing for Demos will be 3 sessions of 5minutes, Junior classes 50cc Div 2 to 85cc2st/150cc4st will be 2LEGS(4laps)+1LEG(5laps), Juniors 100-150cc2st/250cc4st, Quads, Ladies All Powers, Over 35’s, U19’s,
C Grade, A and B Grade 2LEGS(5laps)+1LEG(7laps) and Pro Grade classes 2LEGS(7laps)+1LEG(12laps) with the maximum number of points being achieved 75points
11.2 Scoring will be as per GCR’s. ie 25 points for 1st place, 22 pts for 2nd place, 20 pts for 3rd place, 18 points for 4th place, 16 points for 5th place, etc, to be accumulated over the THREE rounds.
11.3 Results will remain “Provisional” until ratified and confirmed by MNSW
11.4 Time permitting, there will be a Shoot Out race with 12 riders being selected by their fastest laps times during round 1 of racing.
12. MACHINES AND RIDERS:
12.1 All machines entered must comply with the current GCR’s for Motocross Competition.
12.2 Multiple entry of the one Machine in the same Class of Competition is not permitted.
12.3 Change of machine will be at the discretion of the Clerk of the Course and must be notified in writing to the Clerk of the Course at least 10 minutes before the next race.
12.4 Noise &/or Fuel Testing may be carried out at any time during this meeting.
12.5 Back riding numbers must be worn by all riders and will be checked at scrutineering.
13. RIDING NUMBERS:
13.1 Competitors will be allocated their MNSW Registered Riding Number or their preferred Riding Number. All others shall be allocated numbers at Coffs Harbour Motorcycle Club’s discretion.
13.2 Those riders entering with a MNSW registered rider number will be given precedence over any interstate registered rider number.
13.3 BACK NUMBERS MUST CORRESPOND TO BIKE NUMBERS AND BE WORN BY ALL RIDERS.
13.4 All number Plates on all Machines MUST comply with the GCR’S
14. GRID POSITIONS:
14.1 Grid position for the first leg of racing will be a peg draw i.e. the number on the peg will be the number of

15. RIDERS BRIEFING:
A Riders’ Briefing will be held prior to the commencement of practice and ALL Competitors MUST attend. A random call of competitors will be conducted during riders briefing. Any rider/guardian not in attendance will be excluded from the race meeting.
16. DRUG AND OR ALCOHOL TESTING:
By order of MNSW, random drug &/or alcohol testing of participants (i.e. officials, competitors, mechanics, pit crew and any other person associated with the control, direction and operation of the competition) may take place prior to, or at any time during this meeting.
17. CODE OF CONDUCT:
All Competitors, Officials and Parents are reminded of the Motorcycling Australia By-Law - CODE OF CONDUCT (as stipulated in the GCR’s) which is a guide to appropriate behaviour at all Motorcycle Race Meetings. This CODE OF CONDUCT applies to this Meeting and shall be enforced.

For the purposes of drug & alcohol testing, the commencement of the meeting will be deemed to be 7.00a.m. with the completion of the meeting for the participant being at the completion of his/her participation in the meeting.
19. CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION:
Man-made Motocross style track, loam soil, lap length TBA. Direction of racing anti clockwise.
Starts will be by backward falling self penalising gates with a maximum number of 24 gates.
MX/SX PROCEDURE – A 15 Second Board will be displayed to all riders. At the end of 15 seconds a 5 second board will be displayed. After a full 5 seconds, but not exceeding 10 seconds, the gates will drop.
Practice for all classes will be 5 minutes, with the first lap under FULL YELLOW FLAG, NO PASSING OR JUMPING.
Racing refer to Point 11 Race Format.
All machines must comply with the requirements of the GCR’s and the Track Licence.
All racing to conclude around 10.00p.m.
23. PAYG WITHOUT HOLDING:
The Goods and Services Tax affects the payment of prize money. If you do not provide an ABN or declare the sport is a hobby, the Promoter may withhold 46.5% of prize money over $50.00 which is otherwise payable to you. Please tick one of the boxes on the entry form and if appropriate provide your ABN to ensure the full amount of prize moneys paid to you.
24. SPECIAL NOTES AND WARNINGS:
PRESENTATION: There will be a presentation of the Junior Trophies at the conclusion of Round 2
of Senior racing.
Certificates and prize money for seniors will be presented half an hour after the finish of the last race.
FACILITIES: Canteen, toilets, showers and camping(See 24.1)

24.1 CAMPING IS PERMITTED AT THE at the track (this is a fee charged by the
Showground Trust itself) AND NEEDS TO BE BOOKED AND PAID FOR PRIOR TO THE EVENT.

24.2 All competitors are required to provide their MA licence in exchange for a timing transponder. Upon the return of the transponder at the conclusion of the race meeting, the competitors licence will be returned.
When a transponder is transferred to the competitor, it then becomes the competitor’s responsibility to pay for any repairs or replacement costs of the transponder if damaged or lost whilst in their care. Replacement value is $50.
The onus is on the competitor and or parent/guardian for any rider under the age of 18years, to ensure the correct transponder is on the correct machine prior to the event.
It is the competitors’ responsibility to ensure that transponders are returned in a good, clean condition at the end of the event, or if due to machine failure or injury before the machine leaves the pit area.
Competitors WILL be charged an additional LATE FEE OF $20 per day per transponder for transponders that are not returned correctly. Some leeway may be given in special circumstances, if the transponder is returned on the Monday following the meeting or posted (post marked) on that Monday, however any leeway given is strictly at the discretion of Sunstate Timing Services. Transponders Retuned after the Monday will be charged the $20 per day ( ie. 5 days late = $100 late fee)
The hirer is responsible for the transponder until it arrives back at the designated place (Sunstate Timing Services, PO Box 6 Morayfield QLD 4506). This includes whilst in transit with Australia Post and by courier. No excuse will be entertained for non-delivery. It is recommended transponders be hand delivery. If returning by courier or hand delivering please ring first for an address
24.3 REFUND POLICY will only apply if an email or SMS is received by Wednesday 8th January 2014, less a $25
administration fee unless a medical certificate is supplied. If no notification is received by this date then no refund will be given, with the exception of extreme circumstances determined by the promoter.
Girls/Ladies should only enter the Girls/Ladies classes. If room on the day, entries in other classes will be permitted.
Extra Tickets and camping MUST be pre-purchased with your entry. They will NOT be available to be added after entries close on 31st December. Maximum of 2 extra tickets per rider only. Please ensure you tick 1st and 2nd extra ticket if needed.
