SCOREBOARD UPDATES Our scoring system, Scoreboard has been used at Interschool Queensland events in 2017, as well as the 2017 Marcus Oldham Australian Interschool Championships in September. We currently have quite a few other clubs using the system to score their events. Scoreboard interacts with our entries system, to allow entries to be downloaded directly in from 1 side of the site to the other. It also posts scores live to the website, as soon as the scores are updated. This reduces the need for riders to come to an office to check results, they can check from anywhere, anytime! Multiple scorers can be entering results in the event and even the same class, reducing the workload on just 1 scorer and allowing results to be put in quickly and easily. Scoreboard also interacts with our Scoreboard app. For more information on the app, please see the article below. To learn more about using Scoreboard for your event, please contact us – [email protected]. The Scoreboard App Nominate launched the Scoreboard App in September. The app allows riders to login and view their current events. By clicking on the event, they can also view classes, tests, sponsors, draws and results. Riders can also scratch their entries through the app (please note, this will only mark the class/horse as scratched. Any refunds are at the discretion of the event organiser). Riders can also add events to their watchlist. If an event is using Scoreboard, the rider will also receive notifications when their results have been updated. Events can also send event wide or rider specific messages, which will appear on the riders notifications. It is recommended that users sign up with a rider login, so that all of your entries can be saved to your login and The app is available from Itunes or the Play store at no charge available to you while using the app. We will be adding more features to the app over the coming months, so stay tuned. New Staff Nominate welcomed 2 new admin staff members to the team in the past few months. Natasha Bilac, started with us in July and Laura Bohua, started in early November. We are sure they will be wonderful additions to our existing admin team. We have expanded and have opened an office in Canberra. Our contact details will remain the same, as we are still operating our Brisbane office. Both Natasha and Laura will be operating out of our Canberra office. They join our existing admin staff members, full time employees Michelle Johnson and Amy Redman and part time employee Ash-Lee Thallon (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9am to 2pm). Equestrian admin We are always improving and adding to the administration functions of the site, allowing event organisers to have much greater control over their events. This year, we have added in many new features, including allowing event organisers to refund riders and also edit their existing entries. This is available through the search/edit function of the site. We will be adding more features to this area, including the ability to edit/add stables, camping, additional fees and additional options and also being able to partially refund an entry. The great advantage to using this area, is that entries are removed from all entry reports. Of course, we are still happy to process any refunds or assist event organisers in any way. We are always looking for feedback and more ways we can improve the site, so if you have any suggestions or additional needs for your specific event, please don’t hesitate to let us know. Rider login You may have noticed a few months ago, that you can now scratch your entries through your rider login (as long as you used that when entering). This will scratch you from the event and also triggers an email to the event organiser to advise them of your scratching. Please note, refunds aren’t automatically processed and any refunds are at the discretion of the event organiser. Equestrian Dressage Tests We have recently added in links to dressage tests onto events. Now you can click on the dressage test hyperlink on any event and it will open a copy of that specific test. This will help stop the potential issue of riders learning the incorrect test and makes it much clearer exactly which test is being run. Instagram We have now launched an Instagram Page! Check us out @nominateptyltd Christmas Closing Dates The Nominate office will be closed from midday Friday 22nd December 2017 and reopen on Monday 8th January 2018. Staff will check email a few times over the break but any non-urgent queries will be responded to upon our return. There will be reduced staff in the office from early December until our closing time.
