Australian Eventing Team at Beijing Olympics 2008

The Silent Auction is online for just 6 days. Everything finishes this Saturday evening July 30th.

We are trying to raise $200,000 to help bring the Australian based riders and their horses back from the Rio 2016 Olympics. Not just those who made the Team but also the reserves and those that had the courage to go into the Northern Hemisphere and try.

We want all of this experience and skills to come back home and lift the standards for the Australian based Olympians of Tomorrow. This is an investment in our future and also due recognition of our front running riders of today. Unless you have been there you will never know the loneliness and resolution needed to be out there representing your country. They are heroes!

Shane Rose and his horse Taurus flew to London and moved into the Olympic Village set on representing Australia. However before Shane got to wear this jacket Taurus went lame and Shane was removed from the Olympic Village and the Australian Team. Shane describes this as an Olympic riders worst nightmare. Extremely painful! Shane is back on the Australian Olympic Team for Rio de Janeiro 2016 and with CP Qualified is a very real chance of an Olympic Medal.
