BRC Training Day - 29th March 2026
Show Jumping + XC Clinic with Level 2 EA Coach - Peter Gillis

A great opportunity to continue your preparation for the Derby Day competition later this year!
BRC is delighted to welcome back Peter Gillis for our show jump and cross country training. Peter began training and competing event horses in 1982. He has enjoyed success at 3* level and competed up to 4* level both in Australia and in UK. During that time, he spent a season working with Lucinda Green. As well as competing Peter is well known for working with young horses, although these days his coaching takes up most of his time. Peter is a Level 1 General Coach, as well as a Level 2 Eventing coach and is a member of the NSW Pony Club Paid Instructors panel. After “retiring” from competition Peter has focused more on coaching, which he loves. He coaches at many of the NSW Eventing Clinics and EA NSW Interschools Clinics and runs clinics both in Australia and the UK. Peter’s teaching philosophy is to simplify things into easy-to understand steps so riders can think and be clear with what they are trying to achieve and how to achieve it. He believes that by doing this it is more likely that the horse will understand what the rider is asking, and the rider will act in a positive way and therefore be more effective. With this positiveness comes confidence and with confidence we have a rider who will enjoy their sport! Peter’s previous clinics for BRC have been very well received.
Please indicate your preferred jumping height so we can match riders within groups. Group levels will be flexible depending on entries.
