Hawkesbury Dressage Club – Protocol and Training/ Day to be held at SIEC. This is open to financial Members of HDC only.
This is intended to be a relaxed, social day , giving riders the opportunity to get their horses out to the competition grounds, , socialise with other members , familiarise their horses with the SIEC grounds, as well as the opportunity to ride in the comp arenas. This is a great opportunity for a no stress day out with your horse and like minded friends!
The day will include general arena time, protocol tests and also lessons with Rachel Downes are an option.
Riders will be required to check in at base camp on arrival . A wrist band will then be provided. This is COMPULSORY.
Rider dress is mufti, though helmet and boots are of course mandatory.
Riders will need to bring own food and drinks.
There is no stabling or cabins offered through our event. There are steel yards available in the carpark, these are free of charge and not bookable.
Training Day Fee - $40 - Per Horse - includes Admin, day stay horse fee , First Aiders on site fee, riding around the grounds (not the SIEC trail ride), access to Arena 4 and Arena 2 for general training, and competion arena familiarisation also in Arena 10. All riders pay this fee JUST ONCE per horse, irrespective of how many of the below options you choose.
Private Arena Time: $25 - Arena 7 - 20 minute allocated timeslots - practice your test in peace, or just have some quiet time. Select your preferred timeslot. Times will be confirmed a few days prior. Riders pay $40 Training day fee as well.
Protocol Test: $65 – choose your own test – ride your test -Arena 8 , and then get feedback from your judge. This is a 30 minute timeslot. Riders pay $40 Training Day fee as well
Lessons with Coach Rachael Downes Arena 9 - $143 per lesson. Duration 45 minutes. Dont miss this opportunity to train with one of Australia's most successful dressage riders, having represented Australia at the Sydney Olympics, placing 6th in the team event, as well as competing at the World Equestrian Games. Rachael is an exceptional coach, she works with the horse and rider in a clear straight forward way following the training scale, this ensures both rider and horse come away from each session working in harmony, clear on the way forward and the next steps to take.
Once all classes are filled, there will also be a Reserves list available in case of any scratchings. Those who are on the reserves list, and do not get a ride will be refunded. If we get a lot of interest we will try to source a second protocol judge or coach - whichever fills first. A final draw will be issued to all riders approx 3 days prior to the event.
