SWEQ Club Practice Day Sunday 28th April 2024 

 Spotlight on dressage with Lesley Fitton. 

Woodlands Park 335 Sackville Rd Wilberforce

For those who haven't been to our days this year we have moved to Woodlands PC Grounds, 335 Sackville Rd, Wilberforce (nearest cross street is Ironbark Drive). Our grounds have 2 sand arenas, day yards, grass arena and plenty of float parking. 

FORMAT: 

Gates open 8:30am

8:30am to 9am set up 

9am to 10am  Ground work with obstacles.  This is a great opportunity for those with green horses or new to working equitation, and for those who enjoy the challenge of communicating with their horse on the ground.  We have new obstacles which include some agility style obstacles. 

9am to 1pm Dressage Lessons.  Lesley Fitton will give 30min individual dressage lessons.  You will be emailed your time slot prior to the day.  Cost is $20.  

10am to 1pm Ridden obstacles.  There will be individual obstacle practice, and the opportunity to run through obstacles in a sequence and a speed run.  No activities are compulsory and all riders participate at their own pace.

Cost

SWEQ Members - all day    $25

NON SWEQ Members - $35 in hand only

                                     - $50 ridden or all day

Dressage Lesson with Lesley Fitton - $20

Other

The following rules apply to SWEQ events: 

  • Apon arrival please present to the organisers for sign in  (located at Clubhouse). 
  • Helmets in accordance with current Australian Standards are complusory and must be worn during all ridden activities. 
  • No stallions allowed without prior approval from the Organising Committee. 
  • No dogs allowed.
  • Only registered and paying participants may enter the obstacle and ridden areas. 
  • Only registered and paying participants may ride. 
  • Participants are required to either help set up or pack up obstacles. 
  • There are only 10 day yards on the grounds which may only be used by horses registered in the event.
