Mid-Year Dressage Fun Day @ HEARTLAND HORSE FARM Sunday, May 19th 2023
Our dressage fun days are run to be safe and supportive for beginner riders, young horses or anyone in between to attend a friendly day out to put their dressage skills to the test. In this supportive environment, you are welcome to wear the attire of your chosen discipline. EA-approved helmets and boots are required. Callers welcome and supported, if you mess up your test, just start again with no marks deducted. This event is more about enjoying an outing with your horse in a friendly atmosphere and meeting other supportive/fun horsey people. Our dressage tests will be held in our Solitex arena with a 60m x 20m arena marked out. Scott will be judging on the day and advise on where you could improve your dressage test rather than criticising if your trot down the centreline wasn't straight enough!!! We have had great feedback from doing the 'judging' like this! Dress Code: Whatever you’re most comfortable in (EA-approved helmets & boots required). Fender saddles, t-shirts, jeans or full dressage competition attire are all accepted! These days are about building confidence and having a good, positive outing with our horse and community. Classes: Preparatory 1 Preparatory 2 Prelim 1.1 Prelim 1.3 Novice 2.2 Novice 2.3 Elementary 3.1 Elementary 3.3 Medium 4.1 Warm Up Arena: We will have a grass arena set up for warm-up. Photography: Georgia Young Photography will be our photographer on the day. During registration you’ll be asked if you’ll be interested in purchasing photos, please tick ‘yes’. Ribbons: We cannot wait! These days are the highlights for us and we love riders getting out there and giving it a go, there will be ribbons from 1st place to 5th place.
