Do you wish you could do more to help your horse, if only you had more time? So many people have been on bodywork course after course, only to go home and never find the time to look in the manual again. And when they do, it’s just much to take in after a day at work when there are still so many jobs to be done. In this day, Jane will share some of her favourite bodywork moves, as well as some supporting stretching and mobilisation techniques. Why are they favourites? Well, because they’re extremely simple, easy to learn, easy to do – and effective. It’s possible to do a couple when just hanging out with your horse, and/or a few more if you notice something while grooming or tacking up. The best part is that if you do these regularly enough, your horse will probably get the idea and start telling you where they need help (seriously). Also, you’ll learn about your horse, and where they get tight or sore, while you do them. No muscle or anatomy knowledge needed, just the willingness to spend some time learning a mixture of gentle approaches that can bring surprising results. • Assessment and moves on commonly affected muscle groups • Whole horse asessement and identifying restricted regions • Basic skeletal and joint assessment • 2 x half hour slide presentations, handouts • Includes bone samples
As safety is always the main consideration, Jane will request that only horses that are well-handled and calm in group situations are brought to the workshops.
The price will be $250 per person with limited positions available.
