Welcome to the first day of the Clearview Winter Development Series.

The Series consists of 3 development days followed by a competition. The Series is aimed at further developing horses and riders, ready for an exciting 2024/25 dressage season. Riders of every level are very welcome, from those just starting out, to members aiming for interstate competition.

We will have highly experienced judges available at each development day to assist you achieve your goals. 

Fantastic prizes kindly donated by Clearview Performance Horses will be on offer for the most improved over the series. To be eligible, you must be a Dressage Tasmania member and have attended a minimum of 2 development days and the competition.

Dates:

Development Day 1 - Sunday 19th May 2024 - Thirlstane Golf Club.
Development Day 2 - Sunday 23rd June 2024 - Woodend Equestrian Centre (Deviot)
Development Day 3 - Sunday 25th August 2024 - Woodend Equestrian Centre (Deviot)
Competition - Saturday & Sunday 14th & 15th September 2024 - Woodend Equestrian Centre (Deviot)

Development Day 1 will be taken by experienced and qualified judges - TBA.
It is an opportunity to work on anything test related, or gain some valuable test riding help if you are thinking about coming to dressage competitions.
All levels and experience of riders and horses welcome.

Riders have the Option to enter a warm up session, test riding session or both. You are welcome to enter multiple sessions per horse.

Warm up session - 20 Minutes
An experienced judge will guide you through your competition warm up technique and give you valuable tools and feedback on how to get the most out of your warm up and the best preparation for your test. 
(We recommend that you do some warm up prior to your warm up session so that you can get the most out of your time with your judge). 
Test Riding session - 20 minutes
You will ride through one of the current (2023) EA dressage tests with an experienced judge who will then provide you will valuable feedback and tips on how to improve your test riding and increase your marks. Alternatively, you work on any movement/s of your choice.

Please note the test/movement you wish to work on as part of your entry.

If you wish to book a yard, please do so via your entry. Note: yards are limited.

Ground Farmiliarisation
If you enter ground familiarisation you are welcome to use the grass areas and arenas which are not in use for the training sessions, any time throughout the day. Fee is $10 per horse. 

Please add your bridle number to your entry if you have one. Otherwise one will be allocated to you on the draw.

This development day is open to both Members and non-members of Dressage Tas, a discount applies for members. Only Dressage Tas members are eligible for series awards and Development days 2 & 3 will only be open to DT members.
