Arena Familiarisation Day

Come and celebrate the new year with us!  Ride in the Indoor out of the sun, or ride in the Outdoor Arenas with their brand new surrounds. 

Not sure if you want to join the club but curious to know more? Come over and join us for lunch and a look around.

Get your horse/pony more comfortable with the Indoor arena experience, and school him/her with other horses. Practise your dressage test in a full size Outdoor dressage arena.

Event Details:

• Current CWDG Members or EA Members Only
• Registration: Entries must be submitted by midnight, Thursday 15th January.  No late entries will be accepted.
• You may enter a maximum of 2 timeslots per horse eg. 1x Indoor Arena and 1x Outdoor Arena or 2x Outdoor Arenas
• BYO food and drinks
• Indoor Arena (50m x 80m)
  • You may wish to ride with a friend or two so, book your times together.
  • Horses must be entered to attend.
  • You must be either a CWDG or EA member to enter.
  • Maximum of 5 horses per timeslot (1 hour).
  • Horse welfare is paramount.  You must abide by any direction given to you by the Committee.
• Outdoor Arenas X2 (At the bottom of the field Arena's 1 & 2):
  • Full size dressage arenas measuring 20m x 60m with letters placed around arenas
  • Come and practice your tests in a fully marked arena
  • You will have the arena to yourself in your chosen timeslot (1/2 hour)
  • You must be either a CWDG or EA member to enter.
  • Horse welfare is paramount.  You must abide by any direction given to you by the OC
• Lunging only in the lunging yards provided, not in any arena.
• Yards will be free of charge on a first come first served basis, please leave them clean and tidy.
• If the weather is warm please consider your horses welfare when schooling

Facilities:

• Wash bay: Four wash bays available for use.
• Yards: Cattle Yards and PC Yards on a first come first served basis. 
• Manure Disposal: Please deposit all manure from yards and next to floats into the concrete bunker on the eastern side near the cattle yards. Wheelbarrows and tools are provided.
