Spotlight on WEQ dressage tests (ANWEL dressage tests)

We have guest dressage instructor Lesley Fitton who will explain how to ride the new ANWEL dressage tests.  Each rider will get a 20min individual lesson with Lesely (included in your entry fee).  Choose your level and you can watch riders doing the same test as you.  To get the maximum benefit from your time with Lesley it will help if you choose a dressage test prior to the day and make yourself familiar with the test.   NOTE:  we are now full for the dressage tests.  You can still enter to do the obstacles only. 

The Dressage levels are:

Level 2 - Introduction A & B (walk & trot only)

Level 3 - Preliminary A & B (walk, trot and canter)

Level 4 - Debutante 4A  (counter canter)

OUR ADDRESS :335 Sackville Rd Wilberforce (coming from Windsor nearest cross street on left is IronBark Drive. Put your left indicator on and look for the Woodlands Park Pony Club sign and our purple sign underneath). 

Our new venue is huge with plenty of float parking, a purpose built sand dressage arena and a large fenced in warm up area.  There are 2 large grass areas - one set up with the obstacles and the other is availabe if you need space to develop your flat work. 

FORMAT: 

Gates open 8:30am

8:30am to 9am set up 

9am to 10am  Ground work with obstacles.  This is a great opportunity for those with green horses or new to working equitation, and for those who enjoy the challenge of communicating with their horse on the ground.  We have new obstacles which include some agility style obstacles. 

10:30am to 1pm Dressage.  Lesley Fitton will give 20min individual dressage lessons so you can learn how to ride the movements in Working Equitation Dressage.  Choose your test from the list below. 

10am to 1pm Ridden obstacles.  There will be individual obstacle practice, and the opportunity to run through obstacles in a sequence and a speed run.  No activities are compulsory and all riders participate at their own pace.

Cost

SWEQ Members - all day    $25 (includes 20min dressage lesson)

NON SWEQ Members - $35 in hand only

                                     - $50 ridden or all day (includes 20min    dressage lesson)
