CAMDEN DRESSAGE CLUB INC EVENTS – CONDITIONS OF ENTRY 2023

All events will be held in accordance with current 2024 EA National Dressage Rules effective 1^st January 2024 and any subsequent amendments. The Committee may grant exemptions to the rules for special promotional competitions. The onus is on the competitor to know the rules. The conditions apply to Camden Dressage Club competitions held at Bicentennial Park Camden.

Competitions

Closed Unrestricted competitions: Rider must be a member of either Camden Dressage Club Inc or EA (participation or competitive).

Closed Restricted competitions: Rider must be a member of Camden Dressage Club Inc.

Levels

Two consecutive levels only per horse allowed.

Calllers

Callers are permitted.

Riders

Riders may be changed before the start of competition. However, rider may not be changed if another rider has ridden the horse on the day. Horses cannot be changed. Draw position cannot be changed without the permission of the Organising Committee. One rider per horse for the entire event.

Oversubscription

In the case of oversubscription, entries may be limited and a maximum of two horses per rider will apply.

Numbers

Bridle and EA numbers as well as PIC numbers must be shown on the entry form. Two bridle numbers, one on each side of the horse, must be clearly displayed while riding in front of the judge’s car.

Scratchings

Scratchings will be accepted up to the closing date of the competition.

Refunds

Before entries close for the competition you may receive a full refund. After entries close, refunds will only be issued if accompanied with a vet or Doctors Certificate and are received by the Event Secretary 1 week after the event. The administration fee is non-refundable.

Ribbons

Ribbons will be awarded to 8^th place depending on the size of the class.

Gear Check

All competitors must present to the gear steward at least 10 minutes before their test. Failure to do so may incur elimination.

Dogs

All dogs must be kept on a leash. Dogs, children, prams etc are not allowed in the actual competition and warmup area.

Members Discount

If a rider pays member rates and is not a member the entry will be cancelled and entry fees will be refunded except for admin fee of $15.00.

Competition Cancellation

In the event of the competition being cancelled due to weather, entry fees will be refunded except for the $10 administration fee. These fees are non refundable. Camden Dressage Facebook page will be updated in the event of change. For all changes after the closing date, all entered competitors will be emailed via nominate.

Competition Draw

Time requests for competitors should be noted on the entry form. We will try to meet these requests when compiling the draw but this is not always possible. The draw will be emailed to entrants .

No horses are to be ridden at the CDC competition unless they are entered in the competition and the riders are current members of EA or CDC with current disclaimers.

Any rider who fails to comply with these conditions of entry or a direction of a member of the committee may be eliminated.

Risk Warning and Disclaimer

1. Horse riding is a dangerous activity and can result in serious injury (including death) and loss.
2. All persons who ride, or tend a horse on these grounds do so entirely at their own risk.

Neither Equestrian Australia, the Camden Dressage Club Inc Committee, nor any member thereof accepts any liability for any personal injury (including death) suffered by any person from or relating to any incident involving a horse whether or not caused or contributed to by the negligent act, error or omission of the Camden Dressage Club Inc Committee or member thereof.
