Rules
1 . PCWA classes are to be ridden under Pony Club Australia National Rules including PCWA Gear Checking. It is the rider’s responsibility to be aware of all rules. See Pony Club Western Australia website for all rules and regulations. www.ponyclubwa.asn.au . All riders MUST be members of PCWA. EWA riders must be Open or ‘Top-up’ members of PCWA. A one-day event membership is also available to be purchased on the Pony Club WA website.
2. Attire – see PCWA Gear Checking Manual – Permitted Gear & Dress for PCWA Dressage on website. PCWA Open and EWA riders must wear correct attire and will be required to adhere to the PCWA gear checking guidelines.
3. All PCWA (Members, Associates and OPEN) riders must be current 2026 financial WA Pony Club riders; age is as at 1st January 2026, age groups specified as above. Proof of PCWA membership will be required.
4. Maximum of 3 tests over two levels may be ridden on any one day.
5. Levies: Non-KRPC ground use members must pay $10 per rider for ground use.
6. Please clean up manure and hay and leave in designated manure pit (not around the base of trees).
7. Each rider/horse combination MUST provide a helper, with 2hrs minimum duty. For the limited self-help duties only available per one rider/horse combination, the second horse MUST provide a helper. Your assistance on competition days enables us to keep entry fees to a minimum. Please report to the helper coordinator 10 minutes prior to commencement of your duty. It is your responsibility to ascertain what your helper duty is by referring to the draw on the KRPC website.
8. Scratchings/Withdrawals: a. A competitor may withdraw any or all horses that he/she has entered at no penalty or proof, apart from processing charges (e.g. web bank charges), where the withdrawal is prior to the close of entries. b. A competitor may withdraw any or all horses that he/she has entered at 10% of entry fees and no other penalty or proof, apart from processing charges (e.g. web bank charges), where the withdrawal is at least one full day prior to the scheduled draw release time. c. As per the Australian Dressage Rules a refund may only be made if documented proof (i.e. veterinary or medical certificate) is produced within 24 hours of the competition of the event to the event secretary. Where this is the case 50% of the entry fee will be refunded, except where a rider undertakes their helper duty they will receive a refund of 90% of their entry.
9. The organisers retain the right to alter or amend the program and competitions offered and refuse entry of any competitor or mount without reason. Entries will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Entrants who do not adhere to the Code of Conduct will find entries will not be accepted.
10. Neither the organising Committee of any event to which these rules apply, nor Pony Club Western Australia accepts any liability for any accident, damage, injury, or illness to horses, riders, ground spectators or any other person or property whatsoever.
11. Other: • Riders are not permitted to use the KRPC XC on the day • Riders are required to warm up in the designated warm up area and follow warm up protocol • No dogs allowed on the grounds while the event is in progress • Ribbons for each class to 3rd place, prizes at organisers discretion
