Come to our Spring in the Vines at Fernances Creek and train with two very successful riders and coaches. Give yourself and your horse an opportunity to train with the best in a relaxed atmosphere. If you are working on an issue with your horse or just want to improve your riding, coaches Carlene Barton and Jess Somerfield have the knowledge and experience that you have been looking for.
 
We offer Camping, campfire, clubhouse, nice meals and yards for your horses. (first come, first serve on yards)
A great place to relax, enjoy a social atmosphere while receiving expert coaching.
 
Note:  There is a discount for entering both days (Check a class for each day on entry to receive the discount)
 
Day 1: 2 hours of Showjumping and 2 hours of Cross Country Instruction
Day 2- 2 X 2 hours of Riding (Instruction and Rounds on the Courses (SJ/XC) To be decided by each group.
 
NOTE: YOU MUST BOOK CAMPING,MEALS AND YARDS WHEN YOU ENTER. CAMPING CHARGES COVER WATER, TOILETS AND OTHER AMMENITIES.
 
NOTE: THE CLASS TIMES ARE SET AND CANNOT BE CHANGED. MAXIMUM 6 RIDERS PER GROUP.
NOTE: YOU MUST BE AN EA MEMBER OR JOIN OUR CLUB FOR 30.00(PER YEAR)
 
About Carlene Barton:
 
Carlene is a respected NCAS Coach and competive rider. In 2006 Carlene Barton finished sixth in the CCI4* in Adelaide but ten years later she was back competing under different circumstances. This year Carlene was not the only Barton competing in the Horseland CCI2* as her 16 year old daughter Olivia was also competing and went on to finish sixth in the overall class and third in the Bates Young Rider Championship on the homebred APH Bertie Bad.
Carlene has countless successes at the 1*,2* AND 3* LEVEL as well as breeding and training the horses that she rides.
 
Carlene continues to inspire many successful riders and students as well as operating APH Sporting Horses. APH have produced many successful eventing horses and Carlene trains many of the horses herself. 
 
 
About Jess Somerfield
 

Jessica Somerfield is a professional and experienced rider - having competed at international 3*** level in eventing and ridden/trained horses for elite dressage, eventing and Show jumping. Also producing many horses for breeders/owners through to FEI Level in various disciplines.

Current EA NCAS Level 1 Coach,coaching riders from beginners to elite competitors. Ensuring a true understanding of the philosophies behind riding, getting optimal results from horses & riders and helping every rider improve and achieve their goals - no matter how big or small. Jess is based near Denman. Jess also operated Wildfire Equestrian where where she trains sporting horses and students.

 
 
About the Clinic
 

Join Carlene Barton and Jess Somerfield for an action packed day of showjumping and eventing followed by a scrumptious lunch. The lunch will be 1 main, 2 sides, 1 salad and a dessert.  Vegetarians and gluten free catered for. Wine tasting for over 18's. Camping,yards,paddocks,lunches and dinners must be booked at time of entry.

Bring your non-rider friends and family to watch the action,enjoy lunch and a spot of photography. This clinic caters for riders from 45cm -1.05. This is a great clinic to bring a new horse, gain confidence or to sharpen your skills and train for an upcoming event. 

On arrival, register at the clubhouse. There will be a campfire and hot coffee/tea on arrival. Tack up at least 10 minutes before your class. There are warm up areas in the showjumping and cross country area. Do not jump anything until the instructor arrives

There is camping on Friday and Saturday night. When you camp, you have access to the ammenties in the clubhouse. Campers should bring their own breakfast items but there will be complimentary hot coffee/tea and baked good for riders on Saturday morning.

On Saturday and Sunday, each rider will receive 2 hours of showjumping training  and 2 hours of cross country training and a hot lunch. Sunday will include rounds on the course as part of the training. Additional lunches for non-riders must be purchased at the time of rider entry only.

For Saturday night campers there will be a dinner which must be booked when you enter or you can go to the GNTP pub.(10 minutes away)

For Saturday night campers bring your own breakfast /snack items for Sunday. There will be complimentary coffee and tea and a big campfire.

On Sunday,. Lunch wil be served for riders. Please book additional lunches for non-riders when you enter

We have two (only) luxury tents available. There are limited yards,stables and paddocks available and will be on a first come,first serve basis. You can bring your own yards. 

Note:

If you arrive on Friday night, there is a pub for dinner about 10 minutes away.(GNTP Great Northern Trading Post) The food and atmosphere are good.

If you camp Saturday and want to join us for dinner you need to book in when you enter. The Pub is also open.

Sunday morning, there will be hot coffee and tea in the clubhouse. Bring your own breakfast /snack items. Lunch is served for riders, Non-riders need to book lunch.

NOTE: NO REFUNDS 3 WEEKS PRIOR TO EVENT, IT WILL BE UP TO YOU TO FIND YOUR REPLACEMENT IF YOU CANNOT MAKE IT BUT WE WILL ASSIST AND PUBLIC THE PLACE ON FACEBOOK AND EMAIL,

NOTE: THE CLASS TIMES AND NUMBERS ARE FIXED. IF YOU MISS YOUR CLASS, YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO MOVE TO ANOTHER CLASS IF IT IS FULL.

NOTE: WE HAVE 13 YARDS BY THE CLUBHOUSE AND THEY ARE ALLOCATED ON A FIRST COME BASIS. OTHER OPTIONS ARE SHARED PADDOCKS AND "BRING YOUR OWN YARDS".

NOTE: NO DOGS UNLESS ON LEADS.
