HORSE ARCHERY CLINIC AND NOVICE COMPETITION
About the Event
This is a novice focussed competiion for those who have started their horse archery journey and want to experience competition in a low stress environment.
The Competition may be entered in WALK or TROT pace. The Competition will involve competing across 3 tracks designed to pose different challenges to the rider and simulate the type of competition that is typical at national and international horse archery competitions. These will include an arena straight track, and arena track with turns and dfifferent target types, and a hunt track.
On Saturday morning all entrants will be able to undertake a quick 2 hour refresher lesson with us as part of the competition entry fees. We will spend time making sure you know how to take all the different shot types you may encounter and generally tuning up your technique.
You will also learn about how compeitions are run, scored, how to help score, enter results, marshall the track and judge as part of this event.
Entrants can also chose to come to a Friday refresher clinic on our more standard clinic format and get some more practice and learning in immediately before compeition time. We will focus on quivers and different quiver types at this clinic as these assist a lot with compeititons and are mandatory on certain track types.
Prizes will be available for 1st to 3rd place in each track as well as overall places . Prizes will be available for walk, trot, and junior categories and potentially more as well depending on entry numbers.
Full attendance details will be provided via email prior to the event
