Training Day Sunday 26th May

Instructors: Tracey Crittenden, Liz Mudd, Olivia Palfreyman and Dimity Lourey

 

Session 1 – Dressage
Session 2 – Circle patterns
Session 3 – Obstacles (double slalom, bridge, rein back with cup, jug)
Session 4 – Obstacles (gate, 3 barrels, garrocha, ring and ball)

 

Please familiarise yourself with the rules for these obstacles. There may be some changes in the new rulebook.

 

Please arrive at 7.30am. Each group is responsible for the set up of their session.

 

Have your horses tacked and in the riding area (unmounted) by 8.45am for the pre-ride briefing.

 

Start time 9am.

 

Each session will run for 1 hour and you will rotate around with the same instructor for each session.

 

Session 1 and 2 will run from 9-11am, then there will be a break from 11-12pm for lunch. Session 3 and 4 will run from 12-2pm. 

 

At the conclusion of the day each group is responsible for the packing up of the equipment for their session.

 

Canteen: There are no canteen facilities available so you will need to bring all food and drink required for the day.

 

EA – 5-LEVEL RATING SCALE, WITH DEFINITIONS FOR HORSE HANDLING & RIDING CAPABILITIES.

  1. Beginner: needs supervision at all times when riding or handling a low-risk horse. 
  2. Novice: able to ride out of an arena or yard independently and do low-level competition. 
  3. Intermediate: confident to ride a variety of horses, basic training of a young horse with some supervision, and compete.
  4. Advanced: able to confidently ride and handle a variety of horses, able to ride a green-broke-young horse, and compete at moderate to higher level of competition.
  5. Proficient: able to do all advanced rider skills, competently train others, and compete consistently in high level competition.  This category includes riders who have professional skills, earn an income or compete at the highest level of accomplishment within their equestrian interest.

Refunds:

  • For cancellations due to other unavoidable reasons, 7 days prior to the event and before the day of the event, refunds MAY be given at the discretion of the Executive Committee less $10 administration and Nominate fees.. And only if position can be filled.
  • For all cancellations, please email hunterworkingequitation@gmail.com as early as possible and at the latest by 8pm the day before the event event.

Event Cancellation:

In the event of the event being cancelled due to weather, entry fees will be refunded (less $10 admin fee). Notification will be on Facebook and an email will be sent to all entrants via nominate.

OTHER INFORMATION

The gate to property must be closed at all times.

Please park in the designated area only.

Riders must only ride in the enclosed area. No horses to be ridden in the car/float parking area.

 

STRICTLY NO DOGS TO BE BOUGHT ON TO PROPERTY.

There will be tea and coffee making facilities.
