PLEASE READ ALL THIS INFORMATION BEFORE MAKING YOUR ENTRY TO LADIES DAY FRIDAY AT BME.

Blue Metal Equestrian caters for all levels of riding and coaching and hosts regular clinics with reputable coaches. We are particularly passionate about human and horse health & well-being and create coaching programs around functional movement, "horse centred" horsemanship and building positive equestrian community.

Ladies Day Friday is a safe and nurturing space in which to explore awareness around how your body moves with your horse and its effect on balance, rhythm, feel and connection. It is also a little time out from the daily labour of being, to enjoy a beautiful landscape, delicious food and some laughs with some other friendly women.

Group coaching will be led by Amanda Kennett, an EA Level 1 accredited coach in General Riding and Dressage. Her background encompasses a degree in Applied Science with Equine Major; study in Natural Therapies, Yin Yoga, and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). She has over 40 years experience with equines and ran a successful catering business on the mid north coast for 25 years.

The human movement component begins by observing our posture through movement and creating more awareness of how we are moving, partucularly in the saddle. Riders often develop habits such as gripping, bracing, collapsing or riding asymmetrically without realising it and this is often the reason the horse struggles to stay balanced, responsive and relaxed. We can re-learn more stable, functional movement patterns. For horse riders this means better balance and alignment in the saddle.

The horse movement component looks at how we can restore healthy posture and core strength in the horse. Many horses compensate for weakness in the back and core by hollowing, rushing, being lazy or resistant so we need to improve their posture, balance and stability for their long term welfare and soundness.

By reorganising the rider's body in the saddle and training in a way that supports longevity for the horse, together, movement becomes more fluid and effortless.

Ladies Day Friday will have a maximum of 2 groups of 4 participants. The set fee of $80pp covers on the ground and under saddle sessions as well as lunch.

All participants will arrive ready to commence with out your horse from 9.30am -10.30am.

Group 1 will ride from 10.45am - 11.45am, Group 2 will ride from 11.45am - 12.45pm.

We will join together for lunch provided by Amanda at 1pm.
