Brookleigh Working Equitation 3 Phase Competition
4th and 5th April 2026

Entry fee: $90 + $10 ground fee for Brookleigh Members
$90 + $15 ground fee for non-Brookleigh Members
All riders must have a current ANWEL rider levy number and be a member of an ANWE WA affiliated club.
Judges:
Dressage - L1/L2 - Edwina Webster
Dressage L3 and above - Megan Joerg
Ease of Handling/Speed - All levels - Megan Joerg
Dressage tests:
Introductory 1.1, Preparatory 2.1, Preliminary 3.1 and Debutante W 4.1, Debutante F 5.1, Consagrados 2 6.1.
EOH L1 there is no speed, so Riders will ride the Ease of Handling course twice instead.
Speed courses will be run after all riders have completed the EOH course for their level.
The course will be open for a Walk through for any riders before the first class and again for 10 minutes before each level. The Judge will not accompany riders while walking the course but will be available for questions. Riders may have their coach walk the course with them.
L1/L2 will ride their Dressage test outdoors and then start Ease of Handling indoors approximately 20 minutes later. While we have provided times, these are approximate only - we try to run to time, Please note the organisers reserve the right to run classes earlier or later than the published time. Riders are requested TO BE AWARE of the ORDER of Riders which is shown in the Draw. Riders will be emailed a draw and important information prior to the competition.

Classes are:
- L1 Introductory (Walk and Trot)
- L2 Preparatory (Walk, Trot and canter between obstacles)
- L3 Preliminary (Walk, Trot and Canter between obstacles and in the obstacles where directed by Course Directives)
- L4 Debutant W (Walk, Trot , Canter) (Walk to canter transitions)
- L5 Debutante F (Walk, Trot , Canter) (Flying changes canter transitions)
- Higher levels can be included upon request

REFUND POLICY
Refunds will be provided only where a medical or vet certificate is provided before or immediately after the event or if the event is cancelled by us. As we use Nominate for our entries, their $1 fee cannot be refunded. Refunds will be returned to the account used to enter.

Other
Competion attire is required:
* National or State uniform attire
* Brookleigh WE club uniform (club shirt, navy or white jodphurs/breeches, or club shirt with moleskins/dark blue jeans for Stockhorse/Western)
* ANWE WA Affiliated Club attire
* traditional English
* traditional Western (working, not show)
* attire that is usual for your breed of horse when showing in a ridden breed class
* Bitless bridles, Western or English bridles with bits compliant with ANWEL rulebook and EA Equipment Annexure.
* Well behaved Stallions must have green disc clearly visable
Tack must suit the style, i.e. stock horse saddle with stock horse bridle and attire, western saddle with western bridle and western attire.
