DRYANDRA PONY CLUB SJ & DRESSAGE TRAINING ROUNDS

Location: Dryandra Regional Equestrian Center, Darcy Street Cuballing WA

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY AND INFORMATION

NOTE: THIS IS A TRIAL - WE ARE RELYING ON MEMBERS TO DO THE RIGHT THING SO THAT WE CAN CONTINUE TO OFFER TRAINING SESSIONS IN THE FUTURE.  IF YOU DON’T – WE WON’T BE ABLE TO OFFER THIS OPPORTUNITY AGAIN.

Use of the arena for training sessions is reliant on an honour system in terms of booking, payment and correct use of the facilities.  The booking schedule will be utilised to address any issues that arise.  If anyone is discovered to be utilising the arena without prior booking they will be charged a full days hire rate, and/or anyone identified as not following the conditions of use will have any future bookings cancelled and forfeit any monies paid.

  • Training rounds are open to DREA & Dryandra Pony Club members only 
  • Bookings will allow upto 4 horse/rider combinations per hour – it is up to those booking to ensure that they are sharing the arena with appropriate level horse/rider combinations
  • Private hourly sessions may be booked however will be at a higher cost
  • The arena is to be watered by the first rider of the day and the last rider of the day as per the booking schedule
  • A basic SJ course has been erected and will be left erected for first 2 weeks of January, a dressage arena will then be erected for the last 2 weeks of January
  • The SJ Course maybe altered to accommodate height/stride requirements of different horse/rider combinations, however must be returned to the original course at the conclusion of each training session ready for the next booking
  • Note DO NOT drag rails or wings across surface – they must be carried if required to be shifted
  • The SJ course has been designed to enable jumps to be jumped from both directions, breakaway cups have are attached to all oxer fences.  Please ensure they remain in place.  This will enable multiple lines to be ridden with minimal shifting of jumps.
  • Please ensure the ground rail of each jump is placed up into cups at the conclusion of each training round to ensure they are off the ground for watering purposes
  • A metal rake has been left in conjunction with the wheelbarrow to enable raking of take-off and landing at individual jumps as required.  Please ensure that you leave the surface level and ready for the next training session
  • Dressage arena corners, short side and long side are to be left level ready for the next training session
  • A wheelbarrow and manure scoop has been made available – please ensure that all manure is removed at the end of the training session & wheelbarrow is left empty
  • The arena drag has been left near the arena for ease of use, and the motorbike is accessible if the arena requires raking at the conclusion of your training session. 
  • Dryandra Pony Club committee members will undertake raking of the arena surface on various days throughout the 2 week period.  If it is noticed that the arena is becoming overly uneven – please contact dryandraponyclub@yahoo.com
  • NOTE: these training sessions are not supervised therefore
    • Junior riders are to be accompanied by an adult at all times
    • Senior riders are encouraged to be accompanied by a non-riding adult
  • NO DOGS ALLOWED ON THE GROUNDS AT ANY TIME.
  • Undercover yard (yards 1 – 10) maybe used however please ensure that you clean out ALL HAY AND MANURE A PLACE IN THE MANURE PIT.
