ALL Snaffle Bit Cutting Classes will be run under ARCHA RULES

Aged Event Overview - Bridle Spectacular

• Futurity Horses aged 4 yearls old as of 1st August 2023
• Derby Horses aged 5 or 6 years old as of 1st August 2023
• Bridle Horses aged 7 years and older as of 1st August 2023
• Aged Events consist of 1 Phase of Rein Work, Herd Work and Fence Work
• Entry fees include all 3 runs (rein, herd and fence)
• Horses must be shown in the same tack in all 3 runs
• Open and Non Pro Classes will run concurrently
• Futurity and Derby Horses must be shown in a NRCHA legal Snaffle Bit or Hackamore
• Bridle Horses must be shown in a NRCHA legal Bridle and romal reins

Two Rein Classes Overview

• The Class is open to all competitors
• Horses shown in a Two Reined Class or Bridle Class become ineligible to compete at the Futurity and all Hackamore Classes

Two Handed Classes Overview

• Horses may be shown in a legal snaffle bit or Hackamore
• Competitors may show in any style saddle, Chaps or Chinks are optional
• Two Handed Boxing, Two Handed Box Drive classes are eligble for Non-Pro riders only including rookie riders. 
• Two Handed Non- Pro cow horse is eliglible for Non- Pro riders only and is NOT rookie rider eligible 
• Open Two Handed Cow Horse is elligble for all riders except rookie riders.
• Open Two Handed Cow Horse is elligble for all horse aged 3 years and above. Regardless of money earings or if they have previously competed in a bridle class. 

Box Drive / Limited Boxing Overview

• This class is only open to Non Pro Competitors
• Competitors who have won more than AUD$750 in an ARCHA event are ineligible to compete in this class
• The Two Handed Boxing and Two Handed Box Drive remain open to All Competitors
• Horses aged 6 years and under can compete in a snaffle bit or hackamore
• Horses aged 7 years and older can compete in a two rein set up (if eligible) or in a bridle one handed. 
• Competitors compete in a western saddle and chaps or chinks.

Youth Classes Overview

• Youth Competitors may show any aged horse two handed in a legal snaffle bit or hackamore
• Youth Competitors may show a horse in any style saddle, Chaps and Chinks are optional
• Youth Competitors are required to wear an approved safety helmet at all times while mounted
• Youth Competitors are not required to own the Horse they are showing 

Rookie Classes Overview

• Rookie Classes are open to Horses of any age and eligibility status
• Rookie Competitors are required to show Two Handed in any legal snaffle bit or Hackamore
• Horses may be shown in any style saddle, Chaps and Chinks are optional
• Rookie Competitors may only enter one (1) Horse per Rookie Class at any given show
• Rookie Classes are "Ribbon Only" classes
• Rookie Competitors are not required to own the Horse being shown
• Rookie Competitors may not enter Rookie Classes and a Cowhorse Class (whether Two Rein, Two Handed, Open or Aged) at the same show

Entry includes Cattle Hire, Judges fee, Office fee, Video fee.

Prize money is 100% add back after costs

For all entries, please ensure that your entry name matches the name provided on your ARCHA Membership Form (i.e. if your ARCHA Membership is in the name of Jonathan Doe, you will not be able to enter under "John Doe"). 

Package Class Entry – please read carefully

• As a commitment to our competitors, ARCHA offers a number of discounted “package entries”, i.e. for competitors who enter both the “Open” and “Non Pro” divisions of a particular class, the combined entry fee will be discounted. In order to make use of this discount, please ensure you select classes marked “PACKAGE” when entering your nominations.
• Entry fees for aged events cover all 3 phases (herd work, rein work and fence work)
• ARCHA reserves the right to adjust the program once all entries have been received
