Events for April 11th and 12th 2026
Because of limited cattle numbers,events are capped so first in best dressed.
Saturday Ranch Cutting and Ranch Sorting Cattle in 7:30am for an 8am Start
Sunday Boxing and Mechanical Cow 8am Start
Saturday Night Will be a Fun Night.
Meals will be available for $15 a plate or $5 Hotdog. Chicken Curry, Butter Chicken, Savoury Mince all with Rice. If people could comment on our facebook page or email [email protected] if you will be buying food and how many meals so we can get numbers.
Our mascot Cow Betty Beef cheeks will be making an appearance for the kids with some treats.
A horse can only be entered once in each class,except Ranch Sorting or you are a Junior or Tiny trott rider
Ranch Sorting you can have two partners if you wish and nominate twice for that one. Must be different partners.
AFTER NOMINATIONS CLOSE, THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR ANY REASON.
BEFORE NOMINATIONS CLOSE, YOU CAN SCRATCH YOUR NOMINATION FOR REFUND minus Admin fee.
There will be prize money up to third place for all events. Except for Mechanical Flag which will be sponsored Prizes.
NQWHA RULES
You are allowed 2 horses per event
Ranch Sorting you can ride the same Horse twice but must be with a different Partner
Classes - Beginner, Intermediate, Open, Youth 14 -17years .Same Horse and Same Rider Combo. Tiny Trotts 4-6years, Junior 7 - 13years.
Each Horse is limited to one Rider across the eligible classes per event. An exception is allowed for Junior andTiny Trott classes, where the child may also ride the same horse
Beginner Class: Beginners may enter Beginner and Intermediate classes. If you have won 3 times you step up to Intermediate and you cannot go back to Beginner. If you have won a Cutting or Campdraft event you cannot go into Beginner class.
Intermediate Class: You can enter Intermediate and Open. If you have won 3 times you step up into Open Class. If you have a Green horse/Any Rider you can enter Intermediate Class.
Open Class: you can enter Open and Intermediate Classes. if you win 3 times you cannot go back to Intermediate.
Youth and Junior classes can compete also in Beginner Class.
6 years and Under will not be able to enter Cattle Competitions or Clinics with Cattle, only Mechanical Cow and Mock Cow Comps. No assisted riding will be allowed on Cattle.
Under 18 years must wear a Safety Helmet. Dress Code: Long Sleeved Collared Shirt, Cowboy Hat or Safety Helmet, No Caps or T Shirts.
