The intent of the DTSZ Participant Series is:

• to encourage new entrants to the sport,
• to be inclusive,
• to reward attending DTSZ events,
• to provide a true ‘grassroots’ introduction to the sport,
• to be a competition of non-professional peers,
• to be a pathway to Official competition.

Eligible Competitions: April, May & June 2026

Classes include Participant Preparatory/Preliminary/Novice/Elementary

All Combinations are eligible (see Conditions of Entry below) with additional sections/awards for OTTB, OTTSB, YR

Scores = total of highest scores in three tests (e.g. 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 are the Tests) each class (e.g. Preliminary is the Class)

Series Class Placing Awards will be Champion (Prize), Reserve Champion to 6th place (Rosettes).

Series High Score receives the Perpetual Trophy (must be returned after a year)

Conditions of Entry:

• A ‘Combination’ refers to the same horse and same rider.
• Combination has not ridden Medium or above in past five years
• Rider must have EA or DT or Day Insurance
• Horse is ungraded
• Open to amateur riders (does not derive an income from activities in equestrian sport including breaking, training, coaching or riding horses) only
• If Combination won Champion in a previous Series, they must grade up
• Combination has not competed Official in past 12 months
• Minimum of three tests to be eligible
