2026 National Interschool Virtual Dressage Fundraiser

This is an ONLINE fundraiser event to assist 4 riders travelling to Werribee, Victoria in September 2026 to represent WA as part of the WA team at the National Interschool Championships.  

This event is comprised of two individual events, and is kindly being supported by a number of EA Judges.  The  aims is to provide an opportunity for riders to gain feedback that will support their dresage developement and provide an opportunity to potentially try a new test or competition level from the comfort of your own arena, with the added benefit of recieving feedback from the first event that can be implemeted to improve your results in the second event.

All funds raised from this event will go to support the following riders travel (with horses) to Werribee, Victoria as a member of the WA National Interschool Team in September 2026.

A little bit about the riders and their equine partners:

Willow Bennett:

Willow has been successfully competing on Romeo for 3 years now and Luna for a year. After some great results at interschools in April on both horses, they are representing Team WA at National Interschool championships at Werribee in Novice dressage, showjumping and combined training, and showhorse.

Marni Bercene:

Marni and her horse Magic hail from Collie and are heading to Werribee to complete in dressage, combined training and show horse classes after a successful WA Interschools where they placed champion in dressage and reserve champion in combined training and eventing. They have previously travelled to Sydney and Tamworth for the Australian National Interschool Championships with success across all of their chosen events, the highlight being crowned Champion for combined training.

Annalyce Page:

Annalyce and Santona are a new partnership of the past year and a half and this will be Santona's first time competing at interschool nationals. Annalyce herself has competed the last three years at Australian National Interschool Championships, travelling to Werribee, Tamworth, and Sydney with various placings across her dressage classes. This year she will be competing in elementary and medium dressage as well as a show hunter after qualifying at the WA Interschool champs in April this year.

Jenaveve Page:

Jenaveve qualified 2 horses for the WA Interschool team Flower and Saffron.  Flower and Jenaveve have been together for a number of years and have traveled East previously to represent WA.  Jenaveve and Saffron are a new partnership (7 months) and it will be Saffrons first time traveling and competing at Natinols. Jenaveve has competed in natinals since 2022, in vaulting, dressage, show hunter, and combined training. After a sucssesful WA interschools championships Jenaveve and Saffron will be competing in Dressage and show hunter and in Dressage and Combined Training with Flower.  This partnerships would love your support in making it to Natinals 2026. 

COMPEITION INFORAMTION

This online fundraiser is comprsed of two individaul competitions, that will then be combined to award overall results.  Riders can enter each round individually or complete both events.  An overall highest % award will be awarded to the combination with the highest % over the 2 rounds.

Round 1:  30th July - 1st August

Round 2:  28th August - 30th August

Test submissions: between 30th July and 1st of August 2026

Levels: Preparatory – Intermediate, Para Tests Grade I - V,  Virtus by request

Entry Fee: $30.00 EA tests, $35.00 FEI test

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1. This competition will run under the current EA National Dressage Rules.
2. Entries open Tuesday 14th July and close Thursday 30th July at 8:00pm
3. Video submission period is from the 31st July -  2nd August 2026.
4. Classess offered include: EA, Participant, AOR, Open Pony Club Member, Pony Club Riding Centre Member, Para and Virtus Dressage Classes.
5. Equestrian Australia tests to be ridden will be the 1’s and 2’s from each level Preparatory – Advanced plus PSG, Intermediate 1, A & B
6. EA Para Dressage Tests Grade 1 to Grade V Preparatory to Elementary plus FEI Para Intermediate Test A.
7. Virtus test on request to ensure correct level and test 
8. Test may be ridden in Matchy Matchy attire; Plaiting is optional, and gear must comply with the current Pony Club National Gear Check Rules or EA rules.
9. Maximum of 3 dressage tests per horse/rider combination (2 x FEI classes) at 2 consecutive levels per day (date to be included in video submission).
10. Withdrawals and refunds: before close of entry withdrawals via Nominate by the rider.  Withdrawals after close of entries, a refund will only be provided if a veterinary or medical certificate is provided.  In such cases a $10 of the entry fee will be retained by the Organising Committee.
11. Virtual ribbons will be awarded to 6^th place and will be emailed to recipients at the conclusion of the judging. Please ensure your email address information in your entry on Nominate is correct.

ARENA REQUIREMENTS FOR VIDEOING

1. Tests must be conducted in an approximately 60m x 20m arena or 60m x 20m where applicable (Para test requirement) , either in a specifically constructed arena or paddock.
2. The arena boundary must be clearly demarcated by a portable dressage arena or similar, or cones or other obvious, safely constructed boundary.
3. Arena letters must be clearly marked and in the correct position around the arena.

VIDEO REQUIREMENTS

1. Videos must be taken from C for all tests.
2. Videos must be clear with minimal shaking.
3. Videos must be taken in one continuous viewing - movements cannot be cut and pasted together.
4. Videos are not to be edited to include effects or enhancing.
5. Appropriate zooming is encouraged to assist the judges; however, judges need to be able to view arena letters at all times. Riders may lose marks if the judge is unable to accurately view the movement.
6. Submitted videos must have been taken AFTER the date the entry nomination has been received through www.nominate.com.au, and before 18th January 2026.
7. Videos must be UPLOADED to YouTube between 12 – 18 January 2026.
8. Callers are permitted up to Advanced level.

STEPS TO UPLOAD VIDEO

1. Create a YouTube account if you do not already have one.
2. Select the “Create” button in the upper right corner. It looks like a tiny video camera.
3. Select upload a video – select the video you want to upload via “select file” or drag and drop file to upload.
4. On the next screen you have the option of trimming/editing the video. If you do any trimming, please ensure that you do not cut out any important content.
5. On the next screen, add the title and description. Under Privacy, choose Unlisted. Do not add a Location as this will make your video searchable. When done, select UPLOAD in the upper right corner.
6. The channel will let you know that it is processing the video. This usually takes a few minutes depending on the size and quality of the video and the connection speed.
7. Once uploaded, open your video and choose “Share”. A prompt will ask you to “Publish and share”, changing the privacy setting to Unlisted. Select “Publish”.
8. Select “Copy the link”.
