Here is the chance for riders 50 and over, and Disability Riders to meet up at QSEC and ride your horse safely with people around to help.
The perfect opportunity to de-stress and get your horse arena- and other-horse-comfortable. We have the back indoor arena booked from 10.00am to 3.00pm, so spend as long as you like, with or without a private session.
This year, SBEG is opening all the Geriatric Dressage events, coaching and Protocol days to Para, Virtus and Disability (self-assessed) riders.
This day, the third in 2026, will have one Protocol Judge and one Dressage Coach. We have Protocol sessions being run by Mary Seefried (FEI Judge) and coaching sessions of 40 mins being conducted by Ricky MacMillan on this day.
So, choose your test, start memorising it, and practising it, and we will see you on Monday April 28th in the back arena at the QSEC Indoor! (Parking out the back. And yes, you can do two sessions with Ricky or two sessions with Mary, or one with each. If you have two seesions with Mary, the second session is less expensive. Ricky's lessons are already greatly reduced, with SBEG meeting the difference, so high class lessons in a high class venue can be available to everyone.)
Open to members of SBEG ($35 a year, you can join on the day) or EA. Especially suited to potential Para and Virtus riders not yet assessed, those stepping up from RDA, and older riders who find a regular competition arena just a bit out of their comfort zone. Plenty of opportunity to talk with others, ask questions or just watch and learn.
