  • Dressage test is walk and trot only– ANWEL Introductory Test 1.1 Version 2024
  • This level encourages the development of beginner riders, horses & combinations. Professional trainers to ride HC.
  • Ease of Handling obstacles course is trot with walk transitions. Any canter strides will be penalized, and more than 3 full canter strides will incur elimination.
  • 3 Phases – EOH, Dressage, EOH (no speed / timed event)
  • Introductory 1st Ease of Handling will precede the dressage phase in the draw.
  • Requesting a Pass on an Obstacle for L1 / L2 - if a rider has two refusals at an obstacle, they may make a request to the Judge to bypass the obstacle and will receive a score of 0 for that obstacle. Riders may only bypass up to two obstacles in a course after two refusals at each obstacle. They cannot pass the Garrocha obstacles. Elimination will occur if the rider attempts to bypass a third obstacle or after three refusals on a third obstacle. The rider must clearly signal to the Judge their intention to bypass an obstacle after two refusals by calling “Pass!” and raising their hand to alert the judge. The Judge will acknowledge that they have heard and the rider can continue the course. A rider with a score of 0 on any obstacle cannot place above a rider who has not bypassed any obstacles in either the phase or the overall placings.

221 Sandy Creek Rd, Mount Vincent

The entrance gate for the property is 2.21km from Leggits drive intersection on the left hand side (M1 side of the road).  It is just a driveway & gates entrance on Sandy creek rd.  There is a white sign on the side of the road with property name "Montana's Run". Follow the long driveway into property.  Take the two bends slow and wide with floats/trucks.  When you go over the bridge, go up the hill past the large shade cloth area. Horse floats take the driveway to the left for float parking.  Horse trucks taller than 3.5m must proceed straight ahead and park next to the sheds and arena due to a low power line to "Wolf Cottage accomodation".

Competition day requirements

  3. Helmets must be worn and fastened at all times whilst riding.
  4. No dogs are to be brought with you (there are plenty available on the property for cuddle therapy already).
