Show Horse Mad May 11th Training Day at CVEC!

The season is slowing down so spend some time training and enjoying the fun we have at our training days.

All riders are welcome at Show Horse Training days! You don't have to be a SH rider, we have quality EA coaches to coach all levels of riders. Doing dressage? No problems, we can accomodate you and a test requirement if you need. Eventers? Need to sharpen your flatwork up? Maybe do some grid work? No problem, come along to the SH training days, join in, we have a lot of fun and are inclusive! Showjumpers? It all starts with flat work. You are all welcome no matter your aspirations or level.

 1. 20 minute private show ring workout practice or dressage test practice. This is your opportunity to try those workouts or tests out and get feedback. CVEC has a beautiful outdoor arena we can pratice test movements in!

2. Group flat lessons usually with no more than 3 riders. You will be with EA qualified coaches.

3. Private 30 minute flat lesson.

4. Group workout practice and mock show. Riding in a group on the circle at all paces. Standing in line up, workouts, show ring etiquette. Ribbons are awarded to simulate the real show ring environment.

5. Kindergarten classes, for green and inexperienced horses or nervous riders. No more than two riders will  be in this group. Focus will be on socialisation for the horses in a relaxed atmosphere with low key saddle work focusing on riders confidence and the horse being calm and having a good experience. Aimed at trot level and no expectation to canter. You will be with EA qualified coaches. Lesson will be 40 minutes.

6. Graduate Saddle Class. For green and inexperienced horses or nervous riders. No more than three riders will  be in this group. Focus will be on socialisation for the horses in a relaxed atmosphere with low key saddle work focusing on riders confidence and the horse being calm and having a good experience. This class is for green horses/riders that are up to canter work..

7. Led 'in hand' class. How to do led workouts, stand in line up, present horse to judge  for best outcome. Ideal for young horses to have a low key outing around other activities. If only 1 entry to this class it will be combined with the group workout class but as an in hand class so the horse gains experience with groups.

8. Group poles lessons and small grids, 40cm and 60cm. No more than 4 riders per group and will only be conducted if we get at least 2 riders. Riders will need to lay poles out and pack away.

When:                         Saturday May 11th Twenty-24

Where:                        Coal Valley Equestrian Center, 799 Richmond Road, Cambridge.

All entries via;            Nominate
