Three-Event Statewide Series
Experience the thrill of pony racing in a safe, fun and professionally managed environment for young Pony Club riders.

This is a Tasmanian-only series. It is not a national event.
TRAINING DAYS - FREE
The training days in Devonport and Hobart are open to ALL Pony Club Tasmania members regardless of age and pony/horse height.
Only combinations who meet the racing riding age and pony height requirements are eligible to race
Riders must attend one training day to be eligible for selection to race in a qualifier and the final.
RACING AGE REQUIREMENTS (for qualifying races and final)
Note: any age rider can attend the training days
Pony Club riders aged 9–15 years may be selected to race
RACING HEIGHT CATEGORIES (for qualifying races and final)
Note: any height horse/pony can attend the training days
Two pony divisions available for racing (pending numbers):
• 12.2hh and under
• Over 12.2hh up to and including 14hh
EVENT DATES & LOCATIONS (FREE)
Riders must attend one training day to be eligible for selection to race in a qualifier. Riders must qualify for the final by racing in one qualifier.
Qualifier 1 – Devonport (Stand-Alone Event) – North West
Training Day: Sunday 11 January 2026 (Morning)
Race Day: Sunday 11 January 2026 (Afternoon)
Qualifier 2 – Hobart (Hobart Derby Day) – South
Training Day: Sunday 1 February 2026
Race Day: Friday 6 February 2026
State Final – Launceston (Tasmanian Oaks Day) – North
Training Day: Sunday 15 February 2026
Race Day: Friday 20 February 2026
Prizes will be awarded at the State Final.
