A Bit about our Judges

Wendy Hunt

Wendy has ridden to FEI level and trained for a year in Germany at Reitinstitut Von Neindorff riding various types of horses of all levels up to Grand Prix. Wendy believes her dressage training in Germany gave her the ideal foundation for judging as it instilled in her the importance of the foundation of the training of the horse, the "basics". Wendy has been an A Level Judge for 26 years and a judge for 54 years. She is a Judge Educator and Mentor who has judged in every state in Australia.

Jody Cavuoto

Jody is a Grand Prix dressage rider, Dressage Coach and an A Level Dressage Judge. Jody has had a love of horses all her life, as far back as she can remember. Jody came up through the Pony Club ranks, winning State titles along with receiving her A Level Pony Club certificate. From there Jody continued on competeing at One & Three Day Events at Gawler and Melbourne along with many other one day events. Jody showjumped both as a Junior and Senior up to B & C Grade as it was known in those days. Jody went to have some dressage lessons to help improve her dressage for eventing but ended up enjoying it so much that she continued on specialising in dressage training & successfully competeing on many different horses right through to Grand Prix. Jody learnt how to coach, train horses & riders with the corrrect basics. From there Jody became a dressage judge and has been an A Level Judge since 1989. Jody continues to coach & judge to this day and still has the same love & passion for horses and riding.

Jen Gilligan

Jen is an FEI B Level Judge and Mentor and Young Horse Judge. Jen is an EA accredited Level 1 Dressage Coach.

Clinic Details

9.00am to 3.00pm

Individual time with Judge of your choice

30 minutes - Ride test of your choice, have it judged and scored (all judges will have a penciller), receive feedback, ride test again or certain movements or have 30 minutes to work on what you would like to or use the time to have a lesson with your chosen judge 

Note:- Jen Gilligan has been asked to judge Young Horse Classes at DCSA on 1st Nov , if you have entered for this event please select another Judge for protocol day to avoid conflict of interest

please answer the question on entry to ensure the judges are aware of your choice of how you would like to spend the 30 minutes with a judge of your choice, you can add this into your entry anytime before closing date.

If we do not have the test of your choice or if you have another request please put this in the NOTES section of your entry.
