Freestyle Obstacles and Trail Ride: Sunday, 16 Nov 2025

We have an informal and fun day planned at Stanton Park with obstacles set up on the arena - we will have a bridge and gate on site, in addition to a range of other options - and there will be the opportunity to go for a trail ride (no jumping is permitted - see below) on the cross country course if you would like.

There will not be a coach on the day, however we know members will help each other out.  You can refine your skills on obstacles you are familiar with and try your hand at something new.

The 'Lesson Time' refers to your time on the arena as we aim to ensure plenty of space for your work on the obstacles.  The timing of the course ride/s will be dependent on how many are keen on the day.  

The ride/s around the course will be in small groups and will be conducted in a manner to keep everyone safe.  There will be no jumping as we will not be entering the approach, take off, landing and exit zones of any of the jumps on the course.  You will however, get a feel for the terrain and maybe the inspiration to try cross country in the future!

If a relaxed, social day out with friends and ponies is your thing, then this is the day for you!

Cost:  $15 per horse

4 riders per Group

Lesson 1 : 09:00 - 10:00 

Lesson 2 : 10:00 - 11:00

Lesson 3 : 11:00 - 12:00

Lesson 4 (in-hand only) : 1200 - 1300

Additional Terms

• No refunds will be given without a vet/doctor certificate. Riders are asked to find someone to take their spot if they are not attending. We need to fill all rider places to continue running the event.
• Please note, you must either be a full member of Yarloop Equestrian Association or select a day membership.
• If the event is cancelled Nominate will take a small % of the entry fee.
