Events for Sunday 21st Sept 2025

Beginner horse/beginner rider category: 

• This is for a Horse and rider combination who have not won 2 NQWHA beginner events

or for horses or riders that 

• Have never won or placed in a NCHA affiliated event or

• Have never entered a one handed NCHA affiliated event or 

• Have never won or placed in an affiliated campdraft event, excluding an encouragement draft or 

• Have never entered an Open affiliated campdraft event 

There is no restriction on the type of saddle or bit.

Unrestricted 

Horses may be ridden one or two handed but cannot change from one to another during the run. One-handed riders will not incur any “1 Point” reining penalties in this class. No restriction on the type of bit or saddle used.

Youth 

YOUTH must be under 17yrs of age.  

Ranch Cutting 8am start 

$50 per run for adults; $30 per run for youth under 17.

Limit of one run per rider/ horse combo so if you have two horses you can enter both horses,

BOXING immediately after Ranch Cutting

The goal of this class is to introduce the rider to the "boxing" phase of the cow work, according to the NRCHA rule book. You and your horse must keep the cow at the prescribed end of the arena for allocated time while you are judged on control, position, degree of difficulty, eye appeal and time worked. 

There will be prize money up to third place for all events.

New rule; You can win the beginner adult category twice before you have to move up to Unrestricted category.
