FEI Individual World Driving Champion, Boyd Exell will conduct a clinic from 12-14 January,  2024 at RM Equestrian Hodgson Vale, Queensland. 

Sessions will be held where Boyd will generously share his knowledge with those in attendance.

ACDS and EA members will receive a pre 15 minute preparation session, followed by at 45 minute lesson for a cost of $250.  Every driver requires a back stepper (or two for a four-in-hand).  Back steppers are required to be a members of ACDS or EA.  

All drivers will require an approved helmet found in Article 122 HERE

Junior drivers and backsteppers under 18 and para or disability drivers/backsteppers will require a level 3 body protector.  Body protectors are compulsory for everyone on the carriage when training around marathon obstacles and are encouraged in all disciplines, for all drivers/backsteppers.

Each horse can do two lessons a day, whether as a single or in a multiple, with the same or different drivers.  Horses will need to be fit.

Please note, if lessons are fully subscribed, balloting will occur.

There will be no refunds after the close of entries.  Equestrian Queensland may consider this if the sessions can be filled by another participant less an administration charge.  There is a refund policy less an administration fee if the clinic is cancelled due to the weather.  

Camping and yards will be available for a reasonable cost at RM Equestrian.  

SPECTATORS

Spectators / fence sitters are invited for the three days at a cost of $50 per day or $100 for the 2.5 days. 
Spectators do not need to be a member of either organisation.
