The Art of In Hand Work with Naomi Strong
Cedar Grove and District Riding Club is pleased to host an In Hand Clinic with clinician Naomi Strong – Strong Performance Coaching.
Indoor Arena, Saturday July 26th
Naomi has –
- Competed at both State and National levels in Dressage.
- Previous Queensland State B Dressage Squad member
- Achieved success in State and National Working Equitation, including being the Reserve National Consegrados 2 Champion and Champion at the QLD State Consegrados 2.
- Bred, trained, and competed with her own horses, striving to reach the highest levels they are capable of.
- Trained several horses to FEI level.
Worked with many overseas trainers and clinicians who specialise in working with the horse In Hand to expand her skills and knowledge.
Why train in hand?
In hand training uses classical dressage principles to physically and mentally develop your horse to enable them to perform consistently under saddle in a variety of disciplines from dressage to eventing to working equitation to the show ring and beyond. It also supports the longevity of your horse’s competitive career. Working in hand can assist with rehabilitation after injury or in the preparation of your young horse as they are growing.
In this 4 hour clinic, Naomi will be covering what type of horse you have and how to work on the ground with each individual. How to help your horse understand contact. Basic lateral movements incl shoulder in, traver, half pass and walk pirouettes. Basic biomechanics and building connection.
The most important thing is to have fun and enjoy playing with your horse!
A choice of two sessions are available, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Each session will only have 4 participants, allowing ample time for one-to-one teaching and practice of the techniques.
This clinic is only for members of Cedar Grove and District Riding Club.
Cost is $125 pp (+ Nominate fee) for the session. So book now as places are limited.
