Events for August 8th and 9th 2026
Because of limited cattle numbers,events are capped so first in best dressed.
Cattle in @7:30am for a 8am start.
Sat Aug 8th
Mini Cutting , you will have 1min and 20 seconds to cut 1 cow out and work it. If you lose that cow your run is over.
LUNCH BREAK 1 HOUR
Ranch Cutting you will have 2 mins to cut one cow out work it and pen it, if you lose that cow you may go back into the herd to retrieve the same cow. If you run into the herd you will be disqualified.

Classes for this show will be Open, Intermediate, Beginner, Junior (7yrs to 14 yrs) Tiny Trotts (4yrs to 6yrs, No cattle).
Mechanical Flag For this show will be Tiny trotts (4yrs to 6yrs), Junior (7yrs to 14yrs) and Adult (Only One Class)
Free Camping available on grounds.
AFTER NOMINATIONS CLOSE, THERE ARE NO REFUNDS UNLESS YOU HAVE A VET CERTIFICATE AND IT WILL BE MINUS THE CATTLE FEE AND PROCESSING FEE
BEFORE NOMINATIONS CLOSE, YOU CAN SCRATCH YOUR NOMINATION MINUS CATTLE FEE AND PROCESSING FEE
There will be prize money up to third place Except for Mechanical Flag which will be sponsored Prizes and the One Adult Class will be capped at 30 and go up to 5th place.
NQWHA RULES
You are allowed 2 horses per event
Ranch Sorting you can ride the same Horse twice but must be with a different Partner
Classes - Open, Intermediate,Beginner, Junior 7 - 14years, Tiny Trotts 4-6years,
Each Horse is limited to one Rider across the eligible classes per event. An exception is allowed for Junior andTiny Trott classes, where the child may also ride the same horse
Beginner Class: Beginners may enter Beginner and Intermediate classes. If you have won 3 times you step up to Intermediate and you cannot go back to Beginner. If you have won a Cutting or Campdraft event you cannot go into Beginner class.
Intermediate Class: You can enter Intermediate and Open. If you have won 3 times you step up into Open Class. If you have a Green horse/Any Rider you can enter Intermediate Class.
Open Class: you can enter Open and Intermediate Classes. if you win 3 times you cannot go back to Intermediate.
Junior classes can compete also in Beginner Class.
6 years and Under will not be able to enter Cattle Competitions or Clinics with Cattle, only Mechanical Cow and Mock Cow Comps. No assisted riding will be allowed on Cattle.
Under 18 years must wear a Safety Helmet. Dress Code: Long Sleeved Collared Shirt, Cowboy Hat or Safety Helmet, No Caps or T Shirts.
