WEIGH FORWARD SESSION ON SAFE TOWING & COMPLIANCE OF HORSE FLOATS

The education session is based on safe towing of horse floats with motor vehicles.

9am - 11.30am

During the detailed session he will discuss everything towing related including:

• Tow vehicle and horse float set up including safe loading procedures.
• Towing speeds, heavy trucks passing, poor road conditions and side winds.
• The complicated weight acronyms and what they truly mean.
• Regulations and compliance of the “Do Not Overtake Turning Vehicle” stickers and position they are to be applied.
• How to correctly read vehicle and trailer VIN plates and what to look for.
• Having or buying the correct float for the chosen tow vehicle.
• Setting correct hitch towing heights for gravity moving forward.
• The importance of being legally compliant for insurance purposes.

The detailed demonstration and education for a group of people normally takes around 1hr 30 mins then question time. After the session they normally stay on site for another hour to mingle with the people and answer individual questions.

This will be outside so please dress accordingly.

They will also hand out flyers with important information during the session.

This is a fantastic educational opportunity and will certainly have people thinking more seriously about travelling safe and legally compliant to local and interstate horse events.
