A bit about Esther:-
It does not matter what discipline we participate in, or what breed of horse we are working with, the principles of horsemanship remain the same. Harmony, resulting from a partnership built on these principles, has been achieved by men and women for hundreds of years, all over the world, riding and working with horses of every breed for many different purposes. It is not a new idea. It is, however, something that is sadly lacking in many circumstances we see before us today.
Before we can begin to open the lines of communication between horse and human, we need to first understand the horse, its innate, inherent and learned behaviours, how they think and why they behave in certain ways. We need to understand how a horse learns and how to motivate the horse to desire to work with us, without using fear and intimidation.
Esther's passion is borne of a life-long love of horses. 'I have been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to work with some very talented horsemen, including Neville Fennel, Steve Brady, Steve Jefferies and especially my mentor, Wayne Banney. Without their help, and the help of many others along the way, I wouldn't be where I am today. But the greatest teacher of all, if only we would listen, is the horse itself.'
Harmony with your horse is a journey, not a destination. Esther's desire is to connect with people who share her passion for developing a partnership with their horses, built on a solid foundation of trust, respect and confidence. Once the foundation is laid, this partnership can be developed and focussed toward the specific goals of each individual.
Esther has devoted much of her life to working with horses, including foundation training on young horses and helping 'troubled' horses find a better way. However, her main focus is on helping people who desire to improve their horsemanship skills.
