Riding With Sticks is proud to host Destrier Park! Heinreikke, along with her parents from Trollspelliet are some of our 'riding heroes'. Thos who joined us in January for that clinic will be able to buiuld on what they learned from Hanne, Pelle and ofcourse Heinreikke herself. Those who missed that opportunity will still benefit immensley from Heinreikke's teaching. If you want to learn Classical Dressage, horsemanship, biomechanics, riding for war, how all those things tie together - or just become a better rider (its kind of weird to say but its as succinct as we can be) then you want to join us for this clinc!
Who are Destrier Park?
At Destrier Park, our vision is to create athletic riders and horses. What does this mean? It means that we believe in the importance of athletic movement for people and for horses. Athletic movement is vital for mental and physical health, for injury prevention and recovery, for overcoming fear, for longevity, and for happiness. We believe that every human and horse deserves to feel happy, strong, pain free, and healthy, and that every horse and rider has the ability and capacity to realise their dream.
At Destrier Park, our mission is to elevate the base level of horsemanship in Australia by developing athleticism, confidence, and longevity in both horse and rider. Through classical training, historical riding arts, and a deep understanding of biomechanics, we empower riders of all levels to ride with integrity, purpose, and lasting improvement. We are committed to building a strong, supportive community driven by excellence, compassion, and a passion for sustainable equestrian growth.
In practical terms, our teaching focuses on healthy, functional, and correct movement for both horse and rider. Much of our work supports people who are experiencing pain, fear, or physical limitations, and horses who may be tense, uncomfortable, or struggling in their work. A key part of this process is helping the rider find a balanced, effective seat and learning how to use it with clarity and softness. Equally important is guiding the horse to move correctly through their back, allowing for calmness, soundness, and long-term wellbeing.
Henrikke was born in Norway and has been riding horses her entire life. As the daughter of well-known riding instructors, she grew up immersed in classical training philosophies and ongoing conversations about how horses and people truly learn and move. This background has shaped her into an instructor who is especially comfortable working with riders and horses who may be experiencing challenges, setbacks, or loss of confidence. Our approach is patient, supportive, and respectful. We believe progress happens best when both horse and rider feel safe, understood, and encouraged.
