ENTRANTS

All riders must be a current financial member of Pony Club Tasmania. The Inter Schools competition is open to riders in School year 5 through to Year 12 competing in Grades 1, 2, 3, or 4. Individual Pony Club riders ( inc Adult riders) can compete in Grade 5, but not representing their school. Riders can only compete on one horse

EVENT FORMAT
|
|
This is a short course event which commences with Dressage and then later a combined Show Jumping / Cross Country Course. The jumping phase will comprise of approximately 20 jumps
|
HELMETS/BODY PROTECTORS
|
|
All helmets must be PCT tagged and all riders must wear a PCT tagged Level 3 Body protector.
|
DRESSAGE TEST:
|
|
The Dressage Test for Grades 1 – 4 will be the EA Eventing Test EV – TEST B- 80 2020 and is included in this entry pack but also available for download from www.equestrian.org.au . Pony Club Riders may enter Grade 5 as individuals and the dressage Test will be EA Eventing TEST B-65 2020

START TIME:

|
Dressage will commence at 8.00 am. The official Course Walks for Cross Country will be at 8.00 am and 10.00 am on Sunday 4 September. Cross Country/ Show Jumping combined phase will commence after Dressage (around 12pm) starting with Grade 1 followed by Grades 2, 3, 4, 5 Show Jumping will start at approximately 1.00 pm in same order as Cross Country, ie: Grade 1, 2, 3 and 4. The exact timings and grade orders are subject to change depending on entries etc.

CANTEEN:
|
|
A canteen will be available selling a variety of hot and cold foods including egg and bacon sandwiches for breakfast.
|
ENTRIES:
|
|
All entries are via Nominate (Competition Details (nominate.com.au)) , and riders should then forward their entry receipt to their school coordinator to compile a school team using the Team Entry form (for High School and Colleges only). Completed team forms must be emailed to liz@cppm.com.au and payment made to Huon Pony Club via EFT to BSB 633-000 Acct: 150617058 and the receipt attached to the entries. Entries will not be accepted without full entry fee payment and close on Wednesday 24 August 2022. Riders may only competet on one horse.

DOGS
|
|
No dogs permitted on the grounds or in vehicles parked on the grounds
|
PENALTIES:
|
|
There will be 10 penalties carried by riders who have competed in Grade 1 at the 2022 State Pony Club Trials (regardless if riding a different horse). Horse and rider combinations that have competed regularly at Grade 3 or above will be expected to ride in the grade they regularly compete in.

|
SCHOOLS COORDINATOR:

Each school must nominate an adult in charge and any disputes or protests must be made to the organisers by that person only.
|

ELIMINATION:
|
|
Riders that have been eliminated in any of the phases will carry a 250 point penalty. This then allows all teams to be considered in the final scores.
|
|
|
|
|
|
SCRAMBLE/ COMPOSITE TEAMS:
|
|
School and College riders that cannot make up a full team (or a 2nd or 3rd team as the case may be) will be allocated to a scramble or composite team. School Coordinators can advise their preference as to who they would like their riders to be scrambled with.
