ENTRY – CAMPERS & RIDERS WITH YARDS - 717 FIG TREE POCKET ROAD

This is a HENDRA VACCINATED event (see conditions below)

 

Venue: 717 Fig Tree Pocket Road, Fig Tree Pocket.

Opening date: MONDAY 7th August, 2017

Closing Date:  FRIDAY 25 August, 2017 (Unless classes are full earlier)

Start time: Saturday 8.00 am Dressage

                 Sunday 8.00 am Cross Country

                  Refer draw for Show Jumping - there may be some jumping on Saturday

Cross country course has a new start and jumps designed and built by Ewan Kellett, FTPEC cross country designer for 2017.

Hendra Vaccination:

The minimum requirements for entry are:

 1. Hendra Vaccine boosters must have been administered within the previous 12 months OR

 2. The first of the two priming doses must have been administered within the previous 6 weeks

-  Exemptions will be considered and should be applied for by email to the ftpequestrian@gmail.com

  (Note: Horses who have not received any doses of vaccine will not qualify for exemption)

- Microchip numbers are required with the nomination

- Random checks will be conducted throughout the event

- Hendra Vaccination does not replace the requirement for good biosecurity practice and Horse Health Declaration are still required

- Special Note:  Some horses at this event may not be fully compliant with the label recommendations of Equivac HeV Vaccine.

 

NEW HELMET REGULATIONS FOR 2017  ALL riders must have and wear a helmet that meets the new requirements for 2017, please bring your helmet to be checked at the office on arrival with your horse health declaration and to pick up your back numbers. If your helmet is not permitted you will not be allowed to ride -  NO EXEMPTIONS

STICTLY NO DOGS ON CROSS COUNTRY DURING THE DURATION OF THE COMPETITION.  All dogs must be kept on a leash.  Please pick up after your dog.

Neither the Organising Committee of the Fig Tree Pocket Equestrian Club, Equestrian Australia nor Eventing QLD accepts any liability for any accident, damage, injury, or illness to horses, riders, ground, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever.

Reservation of Right

The organising committee reserves the right to

  • Cancel any class or event
  • Divide any class
  • Transfer competitors between sections of a class or alter the advertised times
  • Reject nominations for whatsoever reason. Riders in all classes must be current financial EA members.

The committee reserves the right to accept late entries and the substitutions of horses after the close of entry.

 

No refunds after close of entries (Friday 23rd August, 2017)

Refunds prior to close of entries will attract a 10% administration fee.

 If the event is cancelled, there will be a 10% administration fee withheld from nominations.

 

 

 

LATE FEE - $30

It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure they hold the necessary MINIMUM ELIGIBILTY REQUIREMENTS to enter their desired class. EA rule 517 -522.

Horses in EVA95 and above must have current EA membership.

The event will be conducted under EA rules.

Juniors – Please state if a junior when nominating.

Discount for riders who provide a CROSS COUNTRY STEWARD for duration of Cross Country $35

OTHER NOTES

 Dressage for all classes - Saturday 4th March

 CNC 2*, 1*, EvA 95, EvA 80 Showjumping - Sunday 5th March

 All Cross Country - Sunday 5th March

 

Each class will be limited to 40 riders per class, once this number has been reached, a wait list will operate.

Electric fences are not permitted, as per competition rules.

No portable yards to be erected.

Camping: Only those riders with yards are to enter via the front gate of the club.  Campers to park in main car park area, if you have a yard, but not camping, please park on the other side of the main gate. $22 per Float / Truck/ Site per night (Shared Power) Please display camp permit.

Yards: $33 for the weekend.

Yard Bond $20 - Refundable - will be refunded via nominate post event

There will be a designated manure pile.

Please make sure all your rubbish is either taken home with you or placed in the bins provided around the grounds.

Catering: Canteen available for Breakfast and Lunch only

 

 

  • Classes may be combined or split at the discretion of the Organising Committee.
  • Competitors may be transferred between sections of a class.
  • Refunds: Entry fee refunded up to close of entry less 10%; after close of entries (Thursday 23rd February, 2017) upon receipt of a Vet Certificate. Refunds less 20% until draw publish date.   No refund once draw is published.
  • Protests must be in writing, accompanied by $50.
