EA 507. 6 Disclaimer of liability
Neither the Organising Committee of any event to which these rules apply nor Equestrian Australia accepts any liability for any accident, damage, injury, or illness to horses, riders, ground, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever.
EA 507.7 Reservation of right
The organiser reserves the right:
• To cancel any class or event
• To divide any class
• To transfer competitors between sections of a class
• To alter the advertised times
• To refuse any entry, with or without stating the reason
DRUGS AND SWABBING
The Ground Jury may at any time order the testing of any horse in accordance with the articles of the FEI Veterinary Regulations. It is a national requirement that at least 2 horses are swabbed at state championships.
Qualifications and eligibility
Riders please note that all qualifications listed as per Equestrian Australia rule book, must be fulfilled by the close of entries date.
Inter-School riders must be familiar with the specific qualification requirements.
Riders and owners of all horses competing in EvA 95 and above must be current members of EA. Horses must be EA registered and hold a current eventing license. For EvA 80, Ev 65 and Ev 50 riders must be at least a Participation member of EA..
CCN*- S (INCLUDING INTERSCHOOL CCN1star)
Open to any EA member who from the beginning of the calendar year in which the rider reaches 13yrs and over, riding a registered horse turning 5 years or over from the beginning of the calendar year. – See Art 520.4 EA Eventing rules
EvA95 (INCLUDING INTERSCHOOL EvA95)
Open to any EA member who from the beginning of the calendar year in which they turn 10yrs and over, riding a registered horse turning 4 years or over from the beginning of the calendar year.

EvA80 (INCLUDING INTERSCHOOL EvA80)
Open to any EA participation or full member who from the beginning of the calendar year in which they turn 8yrs and over , riding a horse turning 4 years or over from the beginning of the calendar year – See Art 503.2 EA Eventing Rules
Ev65 and Ev50 (INCLUDING Junior Classes)
To ride in Training and Learners, riders must be EA members of at least Participation level.
PRIZES
Prizes in EA classes will be awarded in accordance with current EA Rules for Official Horse Trials.
Prize money is dependent upon the number of starters.
Prize Money will be awarded in all EA classes to
3rd place
4th place if 10 or more starters
5th place if 15 or more starters
6th place if 20 or more starters
Ribbons will be presented in all classes
Prize money will be announced in the Official Programme according to entries received
INTERSCHOOL CLASSES
Equestrian Australia (Tasmanian Branch) INTERSCHOOL Regional CHAMPIONSHIPS
Official Interschool classes are open to all riders who are current members of Equestrian Australia. The ODE classes are open to riders who are either primary or secondary school students. enrolled up to year 12 inclusive in the year of competition, up to 18 years in the year of competition.
Please note this competition is NOT the State Championships for the school dressage, show jumping or show horse
Please refer to membership and horse registration requirements above for each grade- All interschool riders and horses need to be EA registered and hold a current Interschool card.
o Riders who qualify may be offered the opportunity to represent Tasmania at the Australian Interschool Championships provided they have met the standard required.
o The organising committee may reject an entry if it considers the Welfare of the horse may be at risk.
School riders may also enter the respective EA class and pay the entry fee. Levies only need to be paid once. (Therefore if eligible, a school rider could possibly enter the open class, and the Interschool class by paying the entry fee for both classes- they will only ride one dressage test, showjumping round and XC course, however they will be eligible for prizes in each section entered).
INTERSCHOOL COMBINED TRAINING
Open to School riders enrolled up to and including year/grade 12 in the year of competition; The Combined Training competition is a dressage test and showjumping round. There is no cross country phase.

DRESS
As per EA rule no. 538
School classes – Official School Uniform - (If entering both Interschool and open classes, riders should wear school uniform).
Warning - Stallions may be present at this Event.
Compulsory levies are charged to cover various fees including ambulance/medical, course and equipment fees.
Refunds will be made according to the Rule Book with appropriate Medical/Veterinary Certificates, less administration fee.
ACCOMMODATION
Camping will be available at Quercus Park.
AGISTMENT – Yards are available at Quercus, however they must be booked via Nominate and a $20 bond applies for use of yards. Upon inspection of the yard with manure and hay removed, the bond will then be refunded on the day. Horses staying in the yards overnight are to be supervised by the rider/owners.
CANTEEN -There will be a Canteen during the event.
NB: The Organising Committee reserves the right to alter any of the classes below according to entries received and to modify the conditions stated as is deemed necessary
Please note:
For Classes 1-5, there is a $40 discount per rider for TEA members.
The prices below don’t include additional levies (Ambulance levy$20 ,Vet levy $5 per horse, $5 Equipment/Ground levy and TEA levy $20 per rider - Riders entering Interschool and EA classes only pay levies once)
