Arena and Grounds Hire

The Fig Tree Pocket Equestrian Centre facilities can be hired for squad training, Inter-school competitions, general training days, or any other purpose approved by the committee.

For varying rates, hiring the grounds can include the sand arena, show jumps, use of the lights, and/or the full cross-country course.

In addition to using the riding facilities, hiring the grounds entitles you to use the parking area, yards and wash bays, and the new toilet block. Access to the canteen is also available by arrangement.

Booking the Arena

To arrange hire of the grounds, please contact the Grounds Hire Manager with any queries and the process for booking. Please refer to the FTP Event Calendar to check on available dates for hiring the grounds. Liability Waiver Forms may be required.

Main Arena Hire (1/2 arena - non exclusive access)	Per-day	$150 for the first 10 horses, then $10 per horse after that.
Main Arena Hire (Full arena - exclusive access)	Per-day	$250 for the first 10 horses, then $10 per horse after that.
Cross Country Course Hire (non-exclusive access)	Per-day	$250 for the first 10 horses, then $10 per horse after that.

Although the grounds are no longer open to non-members for ad-hoc cross country training. The grounds are periodically available for general training on scheduled "Open Days" which are advertised on the FTP Event Calendar. The casual riding fee per-horse is applicable on these days.

To qualify for the EFA rate you will need to supply your EFA number on the day, or pay the higher 'non-member' rate to cover your insurance for the day. At any stage arrangements can be made with the Grounds Hire Manager to use the grounds for training, provided there are at least 4 horses organised to come at the same time.

Reserving setup time should be discussed with the Grounds Hire Manager. If you need our normal agisted members to be excluded from the arena while you set up for your event (e.g. showjumping course building, erecting marquis and bunting etc) then you should arrange to reserve the area the day/afternoon before.

Use of the arena lights is free of charge, however there is a combination lock on the master box. Please notify the Grounds Hire Manager in advance if you think you will need access to the lights so that the light box can be unlocked.
