Use your best judgment for selecting the best class for you and your horse. As a guide

Green - Can walk and trot safely, canter optional, both instructor and rider need to be happy.

Intermediate - Can walk, trot and canter safely, training prep, prelim tests

Advanced - Training Novice and above movements.

You will learn how to move specific body parts on cue and teach your horse to focus on  respond to your body language, these classes are great for socialising green horses. Preferred Equipment -  Rope halter and training lead rope of four metres in length,  otherwise in a halter and have a decent length of rope.

Horse Agility Park - Build horsemanship & communication skills, increase focus .. and have fun!
Trail obstacles include the water obstacle, bridge (a real one!), balance beam, turnaround box, teeter totter (see-saw), rocks & logs in natural obstacles . Rules for the Horse Agility Park Include:-

HELMET & BOOTS must ALWAYS be worn while mounted - helmets are optional but very strongly
recommended when working in-hand.
* LEG PROTECTION for your horse is absolutely vital: shin/tendon boots or padding & bandaging & bell
boots are a must.
* HALTERS/LEADS/ROPES must be strong & in good condition.
*GLOVES are a good idea both in-hand & ridden for the extra grip plus to protect your hands from rope
burn etc.
*SPECTATORS are to remain in the designated area at all times.
*CHILDREN must remain in the designated area & not disturb horses using the course.

Cross Country -  Body Protectors MUST BE WORN

Gridwork is a great way to train a horse to be agile, accurate and athletic. It also gives the opportunity for a rider to improve style, position and balance over a fence. Gridwork makes jumping easy, it improves a rider’s sense of rhythm and helps to develop any eye for distances.  The aim of gridwork is not to jump big fences but rather to improve confidence and ability in both horse and rider.

WHAT IS GRIDWORK?   Gridwork is a training system using poles and fences set at measured distances, also referred to as Gymnastic Jumping. Fences are set at these calculated distances so that the horse or pony takes a set number of strides and meets each fence at a good take off point. This builds his confidence. The distance set between the fences and poles will vary according to the size of the horse or pony and the length of his stride. A grid may be as simple as poles on the ground or for an experienced horse, a layout of quite challenging fences.

Due to the high demand rider numbers have increased to 6 in the following Horse Agility Park, Groundwork and Cross Country, and 5 in Gridwork.

Scratchings - No refunds will be given unless a vet or doctors certificate is received

We also suggest not doing back to back lessons.

Yards are first come first served basis, stable booking can be made via Brookleigh at an additional cost. Please contact Brookleigh directly if you require 9296 0018.

**Lunch Orders to be done thru Nominate ** If you forget to do when entering please contact Bec before the rally.

New helper duty available - If you can bring something sweet (ie cake, slice, cupcake etc) that can be sold at the canteen.

Use your common sense in being sun smart for yourselves & your horses there will be water available BYO sunscreen & water buckets & our coaches will adjust their classes to suit the conditions so please give them your support!

We will need helpers on the day, SET UP will need to be done before lessons can start and many hands make light work! We will also need helpers picking up and changing the show jumping heights.

NO DOGS ALLOWED - I know we all love our dogs but please leave them at home.

Most of all have fun and enjoy the day with mates and ponies heart
