All training will be held in accordance with ANWEL Rules and Conditions.

The onus is on the rider/competitor to know the rules. The conditions apply to all ANWE/NDWEQ Inc events & competitions. www.anweltd.com.au

These are Private Grounds owners reserve the right to ask any person & or their horse(s) to leave the grounds if any of the conditions below are not followed.

  1. I understand, acknowledge and accept that horse sports are a dangerous activity and horses can act in a sudden, unpredictable and changeable way, especially if frightened or hurt. I also understand, acknowledge and accept there is a significant risk that serious INJURY or DEATH may result from horse sport activities.
  2. I understand, acknowledge and accept that the activities of NDWEQ Inc involve horse sports which may be dangerous.
  3. I understand, acknowledge and accept there are dangers associated with the consumption of alcohol or mind-altering drugs and I irrevocably agree NOT to:
    1. Consume alcohol
    2. Consume mind altering drugs
    3. Consume illicit drugs;

during all horse sports activities conducted by NDWEQ Inc.

  1. I agree to follow all directions of any event organiser or official. I further agree that any misconduct or refusal by me to follow a direction of any event organiser or official may result in the CANCELLATION of my participation in the activities.
  2. I agree to wear an approved helmet (as described at Rule 6.2 of the Australian National Working Equitation Rule Book 2017) regardless of age and especially if I am under the age of eighteen, at all times while mounted on a horse.
  3. NO Stallions
  4. I have had sufficient opportunity to read this Dangerous Activity Acknowledgement and fully understand its terms and sign it freely and voluntarily.

Entries are only accepted via Nominate.
Open to NDWEQ Inc Members and anyone who is a member of an ANWEL affiliated club.

Full refunds, less the administration fee will be given if advised before the closing date on nominate. After entries close, refunds of 50% will only be issued by providing a Veterinarian or Medical Certificate, provided to the Event Secretary within 24 hours after the event.

Gear Check:

  • Nosebands MUST be sufficiently loose to fit two fingers sideways. Failure to rectify a noseband that is too tight as directed by the gear steward or judge will incur elimination.
  • Bits – as per the ANWE Rule Book and EA bit regulation – bits must measure 10mm in diameter.

Tack not Permitted: as per ANWEL Rulebook
Riding in any of the tack listed below on the event grounds on the day of event will result in immediate elimination.

Running/standing martingales, running reins, chambon, de Gogue, tongue ties, blinkers, ear plugs (may be used for presentations) or ANY equipment that the
event organisers for the relevant competition determines is against the intent and general principles of Working Equitation.

All dogs must be kept on a leash. Dogs, children, prams etc. are not allowed in the actual event and warmup areas.

All levels from introductory to Consagrados 1 inclusive, please download appropriate dressage test and advise if caller is required.

Music: Music may be provided for all phases and levels. Please bring your music with one track per USB stick in mp3 format.

Warm Up Arenas:
Please be considerate of other horses warming up and observe arena rules i.e. left shoulder to left shoulder, walk on the inside track, look where you are going etc. NO Lunging

Riders Briefing:
Rider’s briefing will be advised on the event day format


Please be aware that your tests may be photographed or videoed. Videos may be used for educational purposes. If you have any objection to this, please advise the organising committee prior to the training.
